We stayed at the Crockett Hotel on November 19th, 012 and found it to be clean, but old. Since we were only going to be sleeping there, we didn't really care about the actual room. However, it was a standard Queen size bed, very comfy, the room was just large enough to move around in, and the bathroom was clean. We weren't expecting much but it was just fine. The staff were very helpful, and tried to provide for all of our needs. When we checked in we requested a room far away from the elevators, and that is what we got. The air conditioning unit in our room was very loud and I was afraid it would keep me awake. (I am a light sleeper). It did not and I slept well. We looked out over the back door of the Menger hotel and the Imax movie theatre. Not great views, but who cares? We were gone all day and only came back to our room to get some sleep. I was not happy about the expensive parking, but that is what you get in San Antonio. If I go again, I will try to find a different parking solution. We were steps away from the Alamo, which is very interesting. We spent a lot of time at the Riverwalk and loved it. The whole atmosphere is great down there. So, if you want cheap, stay at the Crockett. If you want all the amenities, go somewhere else.
