In our first ever visit to this place we were greeted by a friendly hostess and attended to by a very nice and efficient server named Samantha.
This is a large chain operation featuring informal
beach bar decor and loud classic rock music.
The food here is overpriced, but there are a lot of choices and drink options.
We had the fried clam appetizer and these were the largest clams I've ever seen. I hope they were real.
The crispy batter was just right, but the Tartar sauce was very bland and the cocktail sauce was too acidic, while the horseradish was wimp city and not fresh.
My BW ordered the fish and chips with stuffed shrimp, crab cakes with fried onion strings. This entree tasted good.
I had the shrimp combo with coconut fried shrimp,
stuffed shrimp with crab meat, and fried shrimp.
The order came with lots of french fries, but they were not very good.
My shrimp were another matter!
They were large and succulent with great taste. Some of the best I've ever had. There is a lot of food on this platter so a to go box was needed.
There's some coleslaw on the side. It's fresh and moist, but just OK.
Our server was great and service was pretty quick.
We did arrive early for lunch on a Sunday.
$50 for lunch isn't cheap, but they do a military discount so I saved a little.
