“Worth the wait......”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 18, 2013

We live in San Antonio and we know that the restaurants on the river walk can take a while to get you seated. However, we always end up on the river walk because you just can't beat the outdoors no matter what month it is. We are there in the cold of winter, dampness of rain, and humid sweat drenching heat! Walking by Landry's Seafood dozens of time because we thought it would be too expensive, we decided to look at the menu. To our surprise the prices are very in line with everyone else's on the river walk. We signed in using our Landry's Select card honored at any of their restaurants to put you at the top of the waiting list. Well worth the $25.00 start up which you get credit towards your first meal! So basically, it is FREE!!! It was VERY crowded and outside seating was available but we wanted to eat indoors since it was 98 degrees outside. Although we were top of the list, we did have a 30 minute wait. When we were finally seated, the waitstaff was very attentive. The food was outstanding! Seafood cooked to perfection. Usually when you use your Landry's Select card a manager will come by the table with your check and thank you for visiting a Landry's property. They were way too crowded for this perk but I did get my meal dollars added to the check which brought me past the 250 points to get $25.00 off my next dining experience with one of their properties. We will go back soon to Landry's seafood!!!

“Terrible experience”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed August 16, 2013

Had a reservation for 7 at 7PM on Tuesday night and by 8:10PM we still hadn't received our food so we asked the waitress and she said " they are plating it now" . So we waited another 15 minutes and still no food so we went and got the manager. She explained that she would take care of it. We then immediately started receiving our food and two of the plates were the wrong order and the food that came out was cold and rubbery. After being there a total of 1 1/2 hours this was unacceptable so we told the waitress to give us our bill for the drinks and we left.

“A wonderful experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 4, 2013

We went there tonight (August 4th) to celebrate our 41st anniversary. Megan at the Menger Hotel booked us a table and sent over complementary appetizers and dessert cards. The restaurant staff treated us fabulously, even printing up special menus with our name on them. We had an exquisite meal and wine and enjoyed ourselves immensely. Highly recommended. Only complaint, too many tired, unruly kids, but that's not the restaurant's fault.

“Great food!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 30, 2013

On a very busy summer night, we ate here in a large party. The food was delicious, and our server was friendly and gracious despite the crowd.

“Good food,but...”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 28, 2013

I called for reservations at 5:00 pm and was put on hold . After ten minutes i hung up. We then walked down the river walk and ended up at Landry's at 7:45. We were told 15 to 20 for a party of two so we went inside to reserve a spot. We then were told 30 to 45 min, it was getting late so we decided to wait and took a buzzer. We waited upstairs in the standing room only bar area. After 45 minutes we checked back with the hostess and she ensured us it would only be another 15. There were names on her list below ours that were marked as seated.... Not pleased. Then the three young ladies at the desk had an eye rolling contest to see which of them were going to seat us....(probably the same girls who put me on hold). They were busy and i understand that . The food was good, our waiter was ok. Not the most pleasing experience.
