This fun outing is worth a side trip for anyone in Central Texas. The course (which I played in the 80s and 90s has been fully restored by people who loved it from their past as well. Rarely do you find a place that is retro without being kitschy, or hasn't sold its soul in an effort to modernize. This is the course Mr. Metzger designed with passion in the 1940s. For the Miniature Golf fan its actually a challenging course of skill (especially the Pro course). Perfect for family fun, dates or a competitive match as you wont find Windmills and Dinosaurs here.
The 1950s music wafting through the banana tress and tropical flowers will instantly make you forget about the hot Texas sun. There is a reason the scorecard says "Coolest and Most Beautiful Spot in San Antonio!"
