“What a Steak!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 1, 2014 via mobile

I've been here several times, and it has never disappointed. This time I had the ribeye with minted pea risotto. The steak was easily 2 inches thick and was cooked to perfection, not easy. Great risotto, great service, awesome bread before the meal. Will be back whenever I'm in town.

“Must have a been a bad night. Very bad ”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed July 21, 2014

Have had good meal and service in the past. Tonight was very bad. Appetizer was crab deep fried in tempura batter. Crab was not cooked-it was raw. Replacement appetizer was good but was charged to our bill. Rest of meal was just average. Chicken was deep fried with a nice sauce which was a pity for a simple chicken breast would have been better. Service average as well. Will be a while before going back

“Great Brunch”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 14, 2014

This is out of the way for us but brunch spots are limited on the i10 north side of town. The food was great as were the drinks. 3 in our part had egg entrees and they were very generous . My husband had a burger which was good also. The fans made the outdoor seating pleasant

“It's Still "It!"”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 12, 2014

My wife and I had dinner here with business associates about a year after my last review. Once again, all the entrees were excellent and the waitstaff attentive. The atmosphere is upscale and business on a Friday night was brisk. While very attentive and responsive our waitress interrupted our conversation at times, mildly annoying as we were catching up with friends. Nevertheless, Cappy's is and will remain one of our favorites in San Antonio!

“Not that impressed”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 11, 2014

We heard the chowder here was the best in the area. Both my husband and I disliked it. Not even close to the best we have had in Maine.
