“Up the stairs!! Upscale, but not uppity!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 5, 2013

We were visiting San Antonio and found this on the River Walk. What a great find!! The menu is plentiful and the portions are large! Our server, Rosa, had worked there for several years so my wife's need for gluten free was no problem This place is very relaxing and a great place to stop for a needed break after walking all over. The building itself has historical significance. I would go again if we are in San Antonio again!

“Decent little steakhouse, would return only for dessert”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 5, 2013

We visited Little Rhein on the hotel concierge's recommendation while in town for an Air Force graduation. The place was very small and the waiter was not overly friendly or helpful. I opted for a salad (spinach with bacon), soup (lobster bisque), and dessert (sticky toffee pudding). Everyone else at the table enjoyed steak and chicken entrees. The small dining room is interesting, but rather cramped. The saving grace for me was the sticky toffee pudding which I would make a point to get next time I'm in town.

“Can't really recommend”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed September 26, 2013

..... For the price it really should be much better

We were seated on the top patio where it really felt like our table had been added as it was busy, took an age for our server to bring drinks and menus but when the food arrived it was really quite good

-taster appie was really small for the cost, four of us had it and for $50 I would have expected far more of each starter, aweful value
- steaks were very tasty but again not great value for money

Must be better places to spend your dollar here

“We had steak dinner, will not go back”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed September 20, 2013

This is next door to the hotel we stayed at. So we tried it for dinner. Place is very tiny! Staff were nice enough, but not very accommodating. Two ladies were so drunk close to us and we had to listen to their absurd dialog during our dinner due to lack of spaces food was not good enough for the high prices. We ate, but won't go back

“Excellent Steakhouse”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 16, 2013 via mobile

We went as a group during a convention I was attending.

Our organizer had arranged a menu selection because we were 14 people. The choices were varied and included fish and chicken, however...well, it's a steakhouse so steak is what we had. The steaks were prepared beautifully, the appetizers were excellent and wonderfully presented, and the dessert...the cheesecake was "da bomb"!

The atmosphere was neat, right on the Riverwalk, in an eclectic part of town. It's also near "the Alamo". Service was attentive, friendly and humorous. We had a great time. I recommend it!
