My first experience to dine at Boudro's and my first experience to try shrimp and grits....it did not disappoint!...and that's from a native East Texan....

“Deafening”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 3, 2013 via mobile

The food and service was excellent but the level of noise was headache inducing. If you go, make sure you sit outside where it is much quieter. We wanted to have dessert, but just couldn't take the noise any longer.

“The Guacamole is worth the trip alone!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 3, 2013

I hate tourist traps! So, although inwas afraid of falling into one, so many restaurant people suggested going here. We make an excellent quac ourselves. Really pretty simple, more about the ingredients and technique. We went to Boudro's for lunch, waited about 20 min for a table, and watched what people were being served. We had a small table so no rolling cart for the table side quac, just a bus tray stand. Each server has a bit of their own technique going on with presentation but the final result looked the same. It was excellent! I think the fresh OJ is the difference and we have added that to our quac preparation. We then shared the duck 3 ways from the dinner menu which was good. Was somewhat talked ingot eh specialty margarita - frozen limeade with prickly pear swirl. Brain freeze! I prefer my margaritas with just tequila, line, agave, and grand mariner over rocks. Boudro's was way too sweet. Didn't drink much of it and that is a dig against service. Not even a mention about why my glass was still full. If in SA again would go for
The quac and view of river walk.

“A can't miss”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 3, 2013 via mobile

I was somewhat apprehensive about eating a "fine dining" meal along the Riverwalk, but the folks at Boudro's did not let me down.

From the guacamole being handmade in front of you, to the succulent scallops with the main course, everything was absolutely delicious.

The wait staff was attentive and Texas friendly. Don't hesitate to stop by and have a great meal here.

“Very busy and crowded but excellent food and service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 28, 2013

This is a nice restaurant right on the riverwalk. Eat outside if you can, but if in the evening, bring your iPhone with a flashlight as it is impossible to read the menu which has a dark background. It is very crowded, difficult to walk around either inside or outside. They really pack it in and there is always a line, so make a reservation. The food is very good, we had fish and it was excellent. The service was excellent as well. I highly recommend it.
