My wife and I booked the Riverside Vista for our 19th Anniversary after doing quite a bit of on-line research of San Antonio hotels around the Riverwalk. Granted, it is not inexpensive but we really felt that it was a great value after our Easter weekend stay. The staff (especially David) go out of their way to accomodate you in every way possible, including restaurant recommendations and directions. The room was very nicely appointed and the bed was quite comfortable. The slate shower was awesome. Little things like cookies in the afternoon and wine in the evening were a special touch. If you require a fitness center, it might be a bit inconvenient to go down the street to use the available one and their is not a huge in house restaurant.(Who needs one with so many in a very small radius?)
The location right across the street from the Riverwalk is perfect and neither my wife or I were bothered at all by the noise that some have complained of. The white noise machine and air conditioner seemed to eliminate virtually all of the outside sounds even on a VERY busy weekend night. We will most certainly be back on our next trip to San Antonio, thanks to everone at the Vista for making this a very memorable Anniversary!

Unfortunately, we did not meet the yearly income guideline for their qualifications and were promptly brushed off. Turns out that the average room at the Wyndham is about $75 cheaper than the Vista. I'm glad that the Vista didn't care about my yearly income when I booked with them, apparently my deposit and the fact that I could afford the room was just fine with them!
If you are concerned about noise, you may be better off on the 3rd floor, higher above the street, w...
