It's that good and in that good of a location...close to everything. The Riverwalk Vista is a quiet relaxing place, very comfortable with all the right amenities. Great rooms, good breakfast and a friendly, caring staff will make you want to come back to this one.

My husband and I stayed in the Joske Vista room for 3 nights and we enjoyed it very much. The bathroom and shower is nicely done and the room itself is very large and open. We had plenty of space to use our computers and read. The internet hook up was very slow and we had trouble seeing pictures on our Facebook accounts and some websites. We had separate laptops, so it was definitely the internet connection or router. But, we had internet and we weren't there to spend time on it anyway so it wasn't really a problem. The room was very dark and the bed was wonderful to sleep in. We didn't hear any street noise either. The breakfast is nice, although we like to get up at 6am and the breakfast is served at 8am. The location is great, right across from the River Walk and activities. We could walk to the Tower of the Americas, the Alamo, and we also walked to the Market Central (this might be a long walk for some people though). Defintely would stay here again and recommend it.

Hard wood floors, high ceilings, modern fixtures, friendly staff, great location.... I am amazed we are staying here for the price! Parking is a bit of a pain and the one complaint everyone keeps mentioning, but the staff seem to be aware of the hassle and the innkeeper met us downstairs and helped us bring our luggage up to our room from the street. The river walk is literally across the street and it is in the best part of downtown! This place is definitely a nice break from the major hotels. Sometimes you just get sick of the big chains and want a break! This place has charm, beautiful decor (amazing quilts/tapestries hanging from the walls), and it is in a prime location. We were blown away! We will definitely come back here if we ever find ourselves in San Antonio again. Great find!

Closest to everything- the Alamo, the BEST parts of the Riverwalk (good restaurants, bars, shopping). Amazing room and wonderful "extras." Room had the modern amenities and beauty in a very historic hotel. We were awed by the amazing breakfasts, fresh baked cookies and wine in the evenings.

We will never stay anywhere else! It was an easy drive to the airport and very easy drive to Lackland AFB. We were in town for my brother's graduation. Would HIGHLY recommend staying here :) You will not be disappointed.

Room Tip: Our room was wonderful- great bed, beautiful bathroom. This is a somewhat more busy section of town...

It's been quite a while since we stayed there in January 2009, but I never wrote a review and felt that Riverwalk Vista deserved one. I've stayed at many B&B/inns, and this is still by far my favorite. I liked that it was more like an inn, with a breakfast bar in the morning. The atmosphere was perfect with it being in an old store building. The exposed brick and large windows are beautiful. I remember the bed being comfortable, and we absolutely loved the teddy bear, fish, and rubber ducky; those things added a unique touch. There was music playing in the room when we arrived, and I even remember the place smelling really good! The location is perfect. We could see the riverwalk from our room. We had to pay to park in the parking garage down the street, but we knew this before arriving and felt that it was worth it to be in the middle of the city. We would love to someday go back.

We loved the charming and historic atmosphere of this hotel. It combines its historic heritage with very modern comfort. The location is simply great on the Riverwalk!
Highly recommended for your holidays in San Antonio.

I booked here mostly based on Trip Advisor reviews and was glad I did. The location was ideal - across the street from an entrance to the busy part of the Riverwalk and walking distance to the Alamo. Most of what I read here was accurate - noticeable street noise at certain times (which didn't seem to interfere with sleep), floor to ceiling windows in the room, wood floors, quaint, inn-like atmosphere. Breakfast is included (and very nice) and complimentary wine was available in the afternoons. It doesn't try to be an ultra-modern property so those into posh surroundings may not be satisfied, but a very comfortable bed in a great location with friendly staff awaits those who appreciate a more laid back, B&B type feeling. I'd definitely stay here again if I were to return to San Antonio.

Room Tip: Perhaps rooms on a higher floor would be quieter.
