“A lovely and tasty Italian Restaurant”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 8, 2012

We went twice to this nice, well priced Italian resaurant. The service was prompt and friendly and the choice of food was not too heavy. I especially liked the GOAT CHEESE, PISTACHIO
AND BALSAMIC CIPOLLINI, PEAR AND PARMIGIANO RISOTTO
WITH CANDIED HAZELNUT PANGRATTO and the TAGLIATELLE, THYME AND WILD MUSHROOM.
A must stop on your next visit to San-Antonio

“Great food, 2012 James Beard Semifinalist!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 1, 2012

Had read about chef Jason Dady as a 2012 James Beard Foundation semifinalist and found the TRE restaurant right down the street from our hotel. Bartender Tyler (think Justin Timberlake) greeted us with a welcoming smile and suggested a cocktail called the Refresher. Wow! The cocktail was made with honeydew melon, lemon puree, cucumber, mint and ginger vodka. Perfect! Maren ,could have not have been more accommodating in describing the menu. We selected 3 appetizers; asparagus, roasted golden beets and a Tuscon Farro salad. Dinner Smoked Pork Jowl on spaghetti and Duck Confit with bacon cream pasta. Delicious!

“Bellow Average at best”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed March 24, 2012

Service was bellow average, Food was poor, fell bellow expectation.
My colleague order a drink, it was switched to other kind without asking permission. Later when he called the order taker, he respond that they don't have it. He has medical condition and it could have been detrimental. It was changed to another kind but No apology or adjustment.
We went there based on Hilton conceirge but we would not recommend it to friends.

“Yum!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 12, 2012

This restaurant is in the Fairmount Hotel and near La Villilita. We had a late lunch here and thoroughly enjoyed the food. I went into the hotel to use the restroom where I found the resident dog mascot napping. The decor is charming in this boutique hotel. I was wishing we had booked a stay there.

“A nice evening but watch out for conventions”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 16, 2012

The service and food were very nice. The downside was that they were hit hard by a convention earlier in the week and didn't have the wine I requested, the duck confit or the ravioli. The server handled it well and it was still nice and I would go back. I would probably recommend that non-tourists go to the other restaurant on Broadway so you won't be dissapointed if they didn't have a particular dish.
