“Wonderful place to stay with kids”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 19, 2013

We had a wonderful stay at the Hotel. We travelled to San Antonio to go to Sea World and the hotel was a perfect location for that. The shuttle from the hotel to Sea World was wonderful and had no complaints about service. We had our 2 year old daughter with us and she loved the kids pool. The pool was heated and the perfect temp. I think she had more fun in the kids pool than she did at Sea World. The hotel had fire pits so you could sit outside and they even sold goodies to make smores. Staff was helpful, polite and took care of us. Only negative about hotel was during our stay the hotel computers for guest to use was not working. We stay in a suite which was a decent size, great bathroom and comfortable bed. If we travel to Sea World again I will be staying at this Hotel.

Suite: Clean, tastefully decorated, Minifridge, living room has a comfy couch and nice small balcony. The bedroom has a nice king size bed with comfy pillows. Twin sinks in the bathroom with a makeup mirror, giant Jacuzzi tub and separate glass shower with large rain shower head. Toilet has a separate door for privacy. Living in style!

Sunspot Restaurant has a great breakfast buffet, great strong coffee, several juices to choose from. Wait staff is very friendly and attentive.

Bar has a friendly bartenders and waiters, great beers on tap, nice menu for appetizers or dinner. I asked my waitress for a second beer and she forgot about it. When I reminded her, she RAN to the bar and brought it for me, and didn't charge me for it. Great service!

Exercise room has commercial quality Precor treadmills and steppers, free weights as well as cable weight station. Enough equipment to give you a great workout. Didn't use their spa but they offer all kinds of services the ladies would approve of, massage, hair, etc..

Regular pool as well as a kiddie pool and outdoor hot tub. Fire pits with chairs around to sit and sip a glass of wine in the evening.

Personnel was very friendly and courteous. Overall a great experience. Can't wait to go back again.

Room Tip: Low number rooms overlook the patio/pool areas.

The wife and I decided to get away for the weekend and decided to stay at this Hilton property mainly for the Resort and Spa name. We thought it would be a very relaxing weekend getaway but that never happened. Keep in mind it is very close to Sea World so several kids were expected and that was fine, our issue was the way the hotel operated.
Our first issue happened soon as we were given our room, when entering the room it was a typical Hilton set up but the bathroom shower was disgusting. The floor in the shower looked as if kids with filthy feet took a shower and it was never cleaned, along with several hairs. I complained and they did send someone up but still left the shower floor with dirt stains but was much cleaner.
Our second issue happened on a Sunday, beautiful day out we decided to lay out at the pool and enjoy a few adult beverages...NOT. The hotel does not sell alcohol until their bartender arrives at 3 PM, although they have signs stating Texas law only allows consumption of alcohol that is purchased from that location, not an outside source. This place should drop the Resort and Spa name tag, it was very disappointing.

Thank you for taking the time to complete a review. I appreciate your comments. While the hotel property is NOT a resort and we do not charge resort fees, we certainly do many things that are resort like. The Hilton Hill Country Hotel & Spa should be your very first choice when looking for a hotel near SeaWorld and wanting to avoid the high cost of a resort. We operate our pool side bar daily from 4pm to 10pm and offer full beverage service from our Hill Country Bar and Lounge from 11am. Thank you again for being our guest.

I just wanted to say that me and my family had a wonderful time at the Hilton Resort. The 3 pools were awesome and each of my kids had a pool that suited them. The breakfast was okay, but not the best. All the staff is wonderful, but we dealt with Krissy when checking in and she is wonderful. She gave the kids a pack of smores before they shut down the pits which I thought was very nice. We will be returning. Thank you.

The rooms were clean and nice. Rooms were quiet. Hotel staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The pool area was really nice with a separate area that was used by kids/families and a deeper pool used mainly by adults. The only downside was the wireless reception in our room was very weak and devices kept dropping the connection or were slow. I checked signal strength and 2 rooms down in the hallway either side was fine, so we must have been in kind of a dead spot. Overall we were very pleased with the hotel and will stay there again next time we are in town.

My wife and I stayed here for 1-night and had a great time. We were upgraded to a King suite upon check in, which was terrific. There was a living area with couch/tv and then a separate bedroom. The shower was awesome - a giant rain showerhead. We didn't really use any of the amenities, except we did have breakfast in the hotel restaurant. We had the breakfast buffet - standard fare - eggs, bacon, potatoes, pancakes - the salsa they had was very good.
The location is convenient for Sea World, but not for much else. It didn't really seem like "Hill Country" to me. The staff was terrific, very friendly and helpful; and they helped make our stay a great one!

Very nice hotel, clean and nice, great staff and a very up to date feel. Located across the street from QVC headquarters. The room was clean and well keep. The bed was comfortable. Family friendly but Hilton Honors floor was all business and very quite
Will stay here again.

Thank you very much for your kind remarks! Our Hilton Honors floor is indeed our "quiet" zone, I'm glad you noticed.
