First of all, don't expect a resort or even a three star hotel. At best, this is a 2.5 star hotel. When I look for a place to stay that is reasonably priced, I look for an interior versus exterior property (for safety reasons). It turns out this hotel is both. The first level is exterior, and the 2nd/3rd levels are interior. So if you have a preference, note it to the check in clerk. The property has adequate parking, but I agree with the other review in that it is somewhat difficult to locate. But if you get MapQuest directions, you shouldn't being looking for too long. It's proximity to the NorthStar Mall, movie theaters (Embassy, Quarry, Regal), and numerous restuarants was great! The hotel was clean, but some things need to be noted. There was no shampoo provided. The hot water in the shower took some time to warm up. There is not continental or hot breakfast served. There is a soda machine in the lobby. The staff seemed "distant," but check in/out was smooth. I did not see the pool at all, I do not even know if there was one. The only real downer was that I found two small, dried blood stains on one of my pillows, needless to say I did not use that pillow. Overall, at $50.99/night, it was not bad considering other hotels in the area were around $100.00/night. And if you do not plan to stay in the hotel much and explore the area, it is a good, safe location to "base" out of.
