On the last leg of our Texas trip, we stayed 2 nights at the Hyatt Place Stone Oak. We are so glad we chose this hotel.
Location: If you are in need of a place close to the Stone Oak hospitals, this is a fantastic choice. Both 281 and 1604 highways are very accessible making getting around town a breeze. Airport is a 20 minute or less drive. Downtown is a little far but not too bad, 35 - 45 min. Lots of restaurant options plus shopping right around the corner.
Check-in: driving up, I immediately noticed how beautiful the building was. Beautiful stonework, very clean exterior, well-lit. Check-in was a breeze and the staff could not have been nicer. A gentlemen with glasses and dark hair checked us in and he could not have made us feel more welcome and provided exceptional service.
Room: the room layout is the standard Hyatt place layout with living area with "L" couch, ottoman, desk, coffee bar, vanity, bedroom area and bathroom. However, this seemed much bigger and the bathroom had FANTASTIC spa colors, decor, glass shower and beautiful spa-like tiles. The spa blue and dark brown accents were very tranquil and even the toliet was incredibly high end. Of course, the toiletries were amazing and they even supplied individually wrapped makeup remover towelettes, wow! Not even the Hyatt Regency does that. The room was immaculately clean which we really appreciate. The ONLY issue I had was that the warmer the room was, I noticed it began to smell stale. Again, I have an extremely sensitive sense of smell, my husband said he didn't smell anything.
Staff: the staff was fantastic, phenomenal. During my entire visit, I never saw anyone just standing around. They were always cleaning, improving their space, engaging guests in conversation or offering to assist in any way. I personally received a few moments of someone going above and beyond, especially when my husband and I woke up late and missed breakfast by 15 minutes and the girl at the front desk (dark, wavy hair pulled back) offered to go in the back to see if there were any leftovers, she came back with 2 beautiful breakfast plates. KUDOS! She could have said "sorry you missed it" but she went the extra step to make us happy. By the way, food was delicious!
The common areas of the hotel were beautiful and spotless. The indoor pool and workout area were great touches. They even have a nice outdoor dining area.
Would I return? Yes and YES!
