“Well preserved site”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 27, 2013

The church itself, but not the entire mission is preserved. A nice contrast to the other missions in the area. Worth a visit.

“Nice and well preserved”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 26, 2013

Liked this better than the Alamo as it is well preserved. A must see if you go to the Alamo to get a better idea of what the church looked like before the siege.

“Be here at Sunset”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 26, 2013 via mobile

This is a beautiful mission, well restored and operated by the National Park Service. At least at this time of year (January) it is gorgeous at sunset. With the golden light falling on the mission as it sets. Because it is on a city street, the exterior is accessible all of the time. Visit at sunset for beautiful images.

“Historical mission worth visitng”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 24, 2013

During our vacation in San Antonio, we did the "Missions Trail", which included Mission Concepcion. The mission grounds are well preserved and includes an active church and small visitor center.

We began our trip at Mission San Jose and ended with Mission Concepcion. Having a family with teens and a preteen, this was an excellent way to finish the the day. This Mission is fairly small and quaint in comparison to the other 3; while yet holding the ambiance and rich culture of the San Antonio mission history. We were able to see everything within about half an hour, which was just perfect for a family having spent the day visiting the other missions.

If you enjoy history, like visiting well preserved Missions, and are in the San Antonio area, this is well worth the visit.

“Sunday Noon Mariachi Mass was Wonderful”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 20, 2013

We went to tour the Mission Concepcion and enjoyed part of the Sunday Noon Mariachi Mass. The music was in Spanish and beautiful. The grounds and buildings are lovely. Visiting this historic mission with a Mariachi Mass was a highlight of our visit to San Antonio. There was no fee to visit, but there was a table outside where they were selling various items including rosaries made in Mexico and rosaries that were brought from Italy for small donations. Everyone was very welcoming to visitors. There is also a small visitor center/bookstore where you can use restrooms. About a $10 taxi ride from the Riverwalk area.
