“Beautiful gem in the heart of the city.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 27, 2013

Casa Navarro is an oasis in downtown San Antonio. There are 2 buildings on site that date back to the 1850s and one that dates to the 1830s. It is the home of Jose Antonio Navarro, one of only 2 Hispanic signers of the Texas Declaration of Independence in 1836. The exhibits are well done and the small site is well maintained. Make it a point to stop here while you're in town. It's well worth your time.

“Early San Antonio Texas home for all ages”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 2, 2013

Excellent reimagined visual displays bring Texas colonial era to life. Some artifacts in drawers invite investigation by children and adults. Historical interest plus space for children to explore. Huge improvement! Gift shop added.

“Small place but worth checking out for Texas History”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 20, 2012

This is a great place to learn about one of Texas founding fathers. Small place but worth the trip, great place to learn Texas history.
