“Awesome Service!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 17, 2014

We had a big group attending TLA and weren't expecting fast service. Not the case!! Our waiter and AGM were at our beck and call all night! The food was some of the best I've ever had. Right up there with Del Frisco's and Reata from Cowtown!

“Perfect Anniversary Night”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 13, 2014

I took my parent's here for their 50th anniversary. It exceeded my expectations! It's a lovely restaurant. The setting was beautiful. The food was absolutely delicious and fantastic. But what made it extra special was the service from Ron B. We were a family of nine. He was very, very attentive. His food recommendations were spot on. In fact, we all ordered different things than we usually would have, and I'm so glad we did. Then, to top it off, he sent over the most beautiful desert platter I've ever seen. It was an assortment of deserts presented on a big piece of tile, with my parent's names scrolled in chocolate. You'd just have to see it to believe it! My mother nearly cried and declared that she felt like "Queen for the Day." Thank you Ron, Michael Dudek (the Westin Director of Food and Beverage), and Zocca for making our family event so special.

“Nice setting, otherwise just okay”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 13, 2014

The room is beautiful, overlooking and open to the the Riverwalk with some outside seating. We found the food to be slightly above mediocre for Italian fare, especially considering the prices. My seafood risotto was gooey and had only 3 mussels, 4 shrimp, and a tiny amount of calamari. We were served (and billed for) a salad we did not order. The background music was odd for an Italian restaurant -- a constant string of traditional Mexican tunes (fine as such but seriously out of place).

“Wonderful Italian place on the Riverwalk”

We stopped here for lunch as my daughter wanted Italian food and were not disappointed. My daughter, who loves Italian, wanted to eat here several times.

“Great choice on the Riverwalk - food, location, value and service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 11, 2014

We just returned from lunch Zocca and wanted to write this review while it was fresh in our minds. This restaurant was really very good- food, value, service and location. We will definitely be back and will highly recommend this spot to our friends and colleagues.

It is part of the Westin Hotel. You might expect it to be very expensive (perhaps even “over-priced”) due to being in a higher end hotel but it was not. The prices were very fair in fact a good value for the quality and portion size.

We started by sharing a fried calamari served with a marinara and an aioli. Both sauces were great (although we had to ask for a second serving of the aioli) and the calamari was perfectly fried – light and not oily at all. It came with some flash fried kale that was just amazing. The portion was large and we were actually fairly full after this first course. Luckily, we ordered half portions of the pasta. This is a very nice option that they provide. The half portion is actually quite large. When we come back, we would order the half portion again even if we had a lighter appetizer. We had the papardelle with crab, asparagus and lemon (outstanding although very lemony) and the fettuccini with chicken, bacon and peas.

They serve two types of bread – a light garlic bread and an olive bread. Both are good but we preferred the olive bread. They add some shredded parmesan to the oil and balsamic for the bread which is a nice touch. Pam was our server and she was outstanding….perfectly attentive without being over bearing. We also really appreciated the follow up from Eugene.

They have great outside seating on the Riverwalk and it is a really nice part of the Riverwalk, not too touristy and quiet compared to other parts. We didn’t get to sit outside because it was a grey, nasty day. The interior of the restaurant is fine but nothing spectacular. There are nice tables along the windows and some booths on the interior, pretty much what you would expect in a Westin.

Finally, we found the pricing to be incredibly fair. Our entire meal with a bottle of sparkling water, calamari, two pasta dishes and espresso was only $40.

We happened to be staying at the Westin but we would come back to this restaurant even if we were not. It is a great location for a pre theatre dinner if you happen to be going to the Majestic Theatre. And do go to the Majestic Theatre....just amazing.
