“Good But Not Great”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 6, 2014

This hotel is absolutely perfect for conferences or vacation lodging. Our ministry hosted a conference here and what a time we had. Due to having multiple suites reserved, we were upgraded to suites which were absolutely gorgeous. Truly a home away from home. Forget traffic and street signs, access to the Riverwalk was too easy. There is a staircase inside the hotel that leads down to the strip. The complimentary 3 meal buffets can and will save you $$$ as well. The only thing that really bugged me was the undependable service from the valet. Each and EVERY time I wanted my car, I was never able to contact anyone via phone to retrieve it. They were NEVER available. When I get downstairs, they are horse playing and not focused on the guest. Also we were not offered assistance with our luggage upon arrival not departure. Prayerfully, you will have a better experience than we did from the bellman/valet service.

Decent hotel in prime downtown location (Riverwalk). Walking distance from the mall, The Alamo and many great dining restaurants. Rooms are good but parking garage is extremely limited and needs to be redesigned to acomodate newer SUVs. Overall not bad, friendly service!

Loved the suite we had. The breakfast and happy hour were great. The only reason I didn't give it an excellent review is because of the parking garage. It is a little tricky to maneuver especially if you have a large vehicle. You can park on the ground level and check in before entering the parking garage (unlike what a prior review states)

Room Tip: Room 530 (our room) had a nice size balcony with a view of the riverwalk but it wasn't a full fr...

Great breakfast and the happy hour set up was nice. Had a problem with the hotel clerk giving my room key to another guest. 7th floor rooms requires you to go up or down stairs to access the rooms or the option of riding the baggage lift. Nice pool area, and work out rooms. Parking garage is very small and difficult to navigate if you have a big vehicle.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We always appreciate hearing from our guests, as we use your comments to help improve our product and services. I am very glad to hear that you enjoyed our property; we do, however, apologize for any mix-up that occurred regarding your room. We take privacy and security very seriously and have identified and corrected the cause of the problem. Also, some of the historic properties do have tighter garage spaces than newly contructed buildings which do require a slow and steady parking approach, we do apologize about that. Having on-site parking is a rare commodity in these parts though! We hope to have the chance to show you in the future just how great Drury service really is, particularily at our property here on the Riverwalk.

Thank you,
Matthew Funk

The hotel staff was so friendly and really enjoyed the food and drinks. I also enjoyed the fact that the hotel was on the Riverwalk and just a short walk to all the restaurants along the riverwalk. Loved it!

We have had many great Drury experiences at various locations, but this one was awful in my opinion. The parking garage is a nightmare and check-in is a nightmare, too because you have to pull into the parking garage to check in but can't actually park until you have your key card. There is no entry way to wait, so everyone parks along the driveway to the garage causing a back-up. The elevators are super slow. It took us 20 minutes to get one. When we walked in our room, it smelled heavily of cigarette smoke even though it was a non-smoking room. The walls are paper thin and you can hear everything. The people next to us were having a party with rap music blaring. We had a balcony, but the view wasn't much to look at. We relocated to another hotel, and they were at least very willing to refund our money when we asked. The "location" is good, but you can get other much nicer hotels in the same price range and location.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We will use your comments to help improve our product and services. I sincerely apologize that you had an unsatisfactory experience with us. During peak times the traffic can increase in the downtown area and we do our best to keep it moving along. We do wish you would have stayed with us so that we would have had the opportunity to show what a great property and team we have. We hope to see you in the future.

Sincerely,
Matthew Funk

Nice hotel on the river walk. The room was clean and comfortable. Unfortunately our room had a view of a concrete wall. The pool was nice on the roof. Parking on site but extra. The afternoon cocktails and food is a welcome treat. Staff was friendly. Lots of families with kids. Popcorn and soft drinks in the lobby.

Room Tip: Ask about view from room.
