I loved this hotel. I had passed by on a previous trip and thought of how I would love to stay here. I booked it on hotwire.com, and was so excited when this was the hotel that popped up!

The lobby of this hotel is beautiful. I felt really high-class staying here, since I'm usually a budget traveller. The beds were very comfortable. The bathroom was average. The front desk staff were very helpful. They gave me directions for everything I wanted to do. They hotel has a rooftop pool that was a little too cold for my taste, but the hot tub was just right.

This hotel is right on the riverwalk, so if you plan your San Antonio activities around them, you can walk everywhere. The river actually flows into the lobby of the hotel.

I only had two complaints. One is that there is no free business center.

The other is the hotel Starbucks. My family had breakfast there, and the drinks were all wrong. We tried to tell the barista, but it was difficult considering she didn't speak a word of English. Someone needs to teach that girl that frappacinos have sugar.

Besides that, the hotel was perfect.

We stayed here last year and wow what a great location. From the moment you arrive you can tell you are in for a real treat. The lobby is beautiful with the river running through it and little shops. The class elevators are really cool. Our King room with a roll away was wonderful. There was a glass wall from floor to ceiling that overlooked the lobby and it was just incredible. The bed was so very comfortable with very fine quality bed linens. The roll away was very comfortable and was already in the room made up with the same fine bed coverings that were on the king. The room was very modern with black furnishings and striped carpet. the bathroom was an oasis with high quality toiletries. Everything was very clean and comfortable.

We’re currently staying at this hotel and finding it to be a wonderful place. The rooms are very comfortable and spacious. The staff is very accommodating and informative. The hotel is located along the San Antonio River, but it’s a couple of blocks from the actual “River Walk” area. My wife and I actually consider this to be a plus, the river area is very busy and loud with both vehicle and pedestrian traffic, I can’t imagine staying at a hotel next to it. Parking is also a hassle anywhere near the river, staying here you will have free parking, with a short three block walk to dozens of fine restaurants and shopping.

My family and I loved the Hyatt Place Riverwalk! We had a great time visiting the Riverwalk but I think we enjoyed staying in this hotel just as much. Designed for comfort, the room was spacious and filled with extra touches that really made it stand out from the crowd. The kitchen and living room areas were a real plus and the wireless internet worked like a charm. The self check in and check out worked like a charm and got us in and out of the hotel quickly. The free continental breakfast was delicious and offered more than we expected, including fresh grapefruit sections, melon, and pineapple as well as yogurt, cereal and bagels. The lobby area was unique and provided multiple areas for guests to mingle in groups and smaller niche areas where two or three folks could have an intimate conversation. I highly recommend this hotel!

This hotel is now a Hyatt and is beautiful! The staff was really excellent and very helpful. Our room was huge and great with young children as the divider allowed them to fall asleep while I could read or watch TV on the other side. We also enjoyed the heated pool. Although it is not on the main part of the Riverwalk, the walk to get to the attractions wasn't bad. We enjoyed this hotel and are planning to stay there again in April. The pics on this site are old and represent what the hotel was before it had been redone. Go to the Hyatt website to see a very accurate representation of what to expect.
