Very comfy beds in large rooms, decor dark wood with pops of colour , an old building with character , great restaurant on the river and a moody bar underground , positioned on the river walk for a lovely stroll and the Alamo a short bike ride away.

Wonderfull funky historic hotel. Loved the furnishings and beautiful old floors. Our room was not too big but had everything we needed, the king bed was super comfy, and the frig fully stocked(for a price of course). Loved the veranda on the 2nd floor, and room service was fast and ...the food from the downstairs resturant was amazing!! Glad we came!!!

Great historic hotel and they have a friendly, professional staff working there. There are lots of little sitting areas and balconies to play cards, read, and study. The location is hard to beat too! I enjoyed the room, tidy and more unique than most- definitely worth staying at just for a change of pace. I had to take away a star for the cockroach I found in the bathroom and the $17 charge for parking... Otherwise it was a very nice stay.

Room tip: If you are sensitive to noise make sure you let them know when you reserve your room.

My family came in from all over the country to celebrate our brother's wedding. Our family is from Cuba so we were so excited to see what Hotel Havana had to offer.

We loved the feeling of the property, we felt the staff at the desk and in Ocho exceeded typical expectations. The rooms were simple yet very comfortable. Charming and sexy.

Suggestion for breakfast - when in Texas, brkfst tacos are a staple! We ended up ordering all the components of a bkfst taco at Ocho so that we wouldn't all have to venture out for a must if you're visiting South Texas! Yes, the menu is interesting and diverse. The food quality excellent. But, simple works!

The disappointment came in daily when we would return to our rooms and they looked exactly as we had left them. Beds not made, trash not removed, tp not replaced (that one discovered at 3am the night of the wedding). From the first time discovered, we would call the desk and let them know. I had a suite and family would gather in my room and it was quite disappointing to have to straighten up in a hurry while returning from a day of celebration and shopping. I don't add this detail in my review lightly, but felt since it was mentioned daily to the staff yet nothing done about it, maybe this will point out the importance. Hospitality. Devil's in the details... and this little devil charged a substantial rate and I expected full service all the way around.

We would all return to Hotel Havana. The weekend was beautiful. Just a downer the at as we're all checking out, the housekeeping situation was the burr left under our blanket.

I was in Texas for business and not sure what city I would end up in. Because of meetings in San Antonio I happened to find the Hotel Havana. I got lucky they only had 2 rooms left. I just stopped no reservation the girl at the front desk was great. This is one of the coolest places Ive stayed in. I had room #35 fully stocked Pink Fridge. The bed was very confortable. No view but the room was put together in such a way that I felt as if I were staying at an old friends house. The A/C was great also as it was humid. It is located at the north end of the River Walk away from the center of the action so to speak. The cafe/bar is nice, good food with a Cuban flavor is a nice change, service was above expectations. The Downstairs Club opens at 7pm and it is small and quaint and the service again was great. I met some nice people at the bar an made a new friend in the process. I also found out they have a sister hotel in Austin, I will try that one on my next trip.
