“Great place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 8, 2013 via mobile

Perfect spot, great price and excellent customer service. I would recommend this place to everyone. You are about 12 minutes or less from the medical centre and about 12-15 minutes from downtown San Antonio.

The Sleep Inn Medical was a nice stay. Clean rooms. Breakfast was good but could be better at keeping food replenished. Staff was nice and helpful. Towels in the rooms were small and had an unpleasant smell.

I frequent the Sleep Inn several times a year. The quality is good for the cost. Breakfast is delicious but the area is small. This last time we stayed both ice machines were broken. Guest were having a party in the dining room area so there were lots of people coming in and out who were not hotel guest. In the morning, we walked outside to find 2 XXX show buses parked in the parking lot. This time was not the best experience, but I will certainly be back.

The is an older Sleep Inn in a good location along the freeway. Though the hotel is starting to show its age, it still is a good place to stay. It is a standard Sleep Inn with small, but well-organized rooms. My room was clean. The breakfast was average or above and Wifi was quirky. Because the price was good I would stay again.

You would think from looking at the outside, that this would be a pretty good place to stay. However, we found it to be the worst place we have ever stayed, and we stayed for two days. The good thing about this hotel were the beds, which were very comfortable. Comfy beds are important, so this was great. The other good thing was the shower. It was a walk-in show that was much bigger than it looks in the pictures since it went a foot or so to the right of the door. The shower pressure was enormous, and reminded me of the good showers we had before the water-saver nuts came out of hiding. Wow, that was good showers we had. Now, the rest is all bad. First, the TV was not a flat screen as shown in their professional pictures, but an old CRT one. There wasn't a remote control. They had a sign that said call if there was anything that wasn't good about our stay. I called, and very quickly they brought up a remote control. It didn't work. I called again and told them it didn't work, but to forget it because we would just get up and change the channel and cut if off. The next morning we tried to make coffee. We found the "coffee maker" was composed of different parts from different coffee makers. The basket did not fit. Down we went for their downstairs coffee only to find out we were 10 minutes too early, and no coffee yet! Back in the room we rigged the "coffee maker" to make the basket fit sideways, but the carafe was an inch below the auto-shut off device on the basket. I had to hold the carafe up to press the device to get it to dispense the coffee. We reported it, and they said they would bring us another coffee maker, but they never did. That night, there wasn't any hot water with which to shower, but the following morning the hot water was back on. The clock by the bed was so old that the LED lights had gone out so much that you couldn't read the time. On top of the clock was something bad and sticky, and it didn't get cleaned before we checked in, or while we were out the next day. The lamp by the bed had a missing on/off switch, so we had to get up, go to the switch by the door, to turn it off and on. Not fun when you are crawling into bed to have to do. When I went to shut the curtains, I saw that the window glass pane was cracked and "fixed" with some clear tape! The noise from I-10 nearby was very loud as the place lacked noise insulation. The counter in the bathroom area was coming apart from the countertop about an inch! The walls were filthy with black dirt you get from a lot of dirty hands touching it. There wasn't a closet for hanging clothes, and the room was very small. Instead of a closet, there was a cabinet whose doors did not go down to the bottom. You had to lift your hanging clothes over a bottom board. Then, when they were hung, the door wouldn't close as it wasn't deep enough. When I asked my husband if he wanted to go down for breakfast, he said he wouldn't trust their food, so we didn't eat. I did peak at what they had, and saw people with waffles and some pan sausage in one steamer. Let's see. That's all I can think of off hand. I took pictures of everything so you can see what I mean. Well, if you are just going to sleep and take a shower, it wasn't so bad. Just close your eyes to the filth, don't try to make coffee, use your watch to tell the time, and get up to turn the light by the bed off and the TV. Me, I wouldn't never stay there again. It is sad that it could be so much better of a place with some paint, new TVs, new alarm clocks and new coffee makers.

Room Tip: Try for a room as far from the freeway as possible. I heard traffic all night long from my bed. In...

I wanted a hotel next to St.Marys, said it was close but actually was not but it was my fault too blame. The hotel was nice, clerk was nice also. She helped us find our way becasue we got lost. The room was a bit small but was okay becasue we were only in there just too sleep. I did not have a chance to eat the breakfast so I can not make a valid comment on that, The roo was right noext too the expressway, but did not mind it too much, like I siad I was only there too sleep mainly we went out at night too see what was going on. Overall it was a really good place too stay. Very comfortable.

Let me first start with the location near a lot of places n right on the side of amajor highway so that's a plus (easy access anywhere ) second rooms r decent n clean... my favorite of all is the quantity of different choices for breakfast n all included best ever caint go wrong but my only complaint is the smell of the hallways they stink nothing but cigarettes smoke smell. ( not good) n u can also smells in the rooms (non smoking rooms ) I travel with two kids n one is asthmatic so that wasn't good .. if only they did something about that this hotel for the price location and food will b a 5 star even though is a older building the rooms r kept decent ..
