“An Excellent Stop if your in San Antonio”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 27, 2012

I loved that instead of tearing down old structures, San Antonio has preserved many older buildings and remodeled into wonderful spaces. SAMA is a perfect example. Located on the Riverwalk away from downtown, this is a perfect stop for some culture.

“Well worth it.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 26, 2012

$22 for two adults and two kids. Egyptian, Greek, and Latin art very interesting. Especially Peruvian art. Also contemporary art. Although the 4 yr old was most excited by the squirrel she saw through the window in the garden. Nice gift shop. We didn't stop at the restaurant.

“Gem of a museum”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 26, 2012

Has an amazing variety for a museum its size. We enjoyed the ancient items from Eqypt, Greece, the middle East, and Asia. It had just the right amount to see in one visit. And the cafe associated with the museum, Cafe des Artistes, had excellent choices for a nutritious, delicious lunch.

“on the new Riverwalk extension.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 24, 2012

Go, see, do. Nestled by the Jones Ave bridge over the new riverwalk extension the museum has continually upgraded its collection. Built in the original Lone Star Brewery, you can walk from the Pearl Brewery, past the museum and its outdoor cafe, all the way into the downtown loop and now out the southside to King William area and further along the most beautiful urban river in the USA.

The museum was most interesting, the gift shop was fun to browse and the restaurant served a lovely lunch overlooking the river.
