I hadn't been here since I was a kid and it was still part of the Lone Star brewery. It's now located downtown, close to the River Walk and Alamo. The history of the place is interesting. Amazing collection of stuffed (taxidermy) animals from around the world. Also has a Texas Rangers museum, which has a lot of cool ranger info, including a case dedicated to Ray Martinez (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ramiro_Martinez), one of the two Austin Police Department officers who killed Charles Whitman, the UT sniper. There's also a small, walkable reproduction of an old west town, and some sideshow type attraction stuff, too.
