“Nice little mid-sized museum of Texas related history, botanics and children's museum”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 10, 2012

We went over Spring Break. Unfortunately, it was raining the day we went....could not enjoy the natural, beauty of the site as much as it deserved. Gave it a good try, though! We greatly enjoyed Childrens museum part of the facility. Lots of hands on learning for the kiddos, dont miss the instrument display on the top floor of that area. Some nice exhibits of flora and fauna of Texas in the main part, divided by areas of the state. Log cabins from early in the state's history on site open for touring. overall, very nice time.

“Go on Tuesdays, it is free”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 7, 2012

For a City the size of San Antonio, this is a fairly disappointing museum. It wasn't take long to walk through. Okay for kids, there are some activities and corporate sponsored interactive stuff in the back. Okay for free, I wouldn't pay to go in.

“Ok Museum”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed March 5, 2012

San Antonio needs more museums, and this one has potential. I actually donated $50 after my visit because they so desperately need to expand their collection.

“Fun and learning all in one”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 4, 2012

Cant beat free admission on tuesdays. Very popular for school field trips and have even attended bday party here. The HEB tree house is a hands on section for kids and lots of fun while they r learning. Not much parking so plan accordingly.

“Great Experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 22, 2012

I took my grandkids, and we all enjoyed it. The exhibits were well put together and the kids liked how everything was easy to see and they wanted their picture taken at every stop, starting with before we event went in the door. There were several "hand-on" areas for the kids as well. The adults will enjoy the exhibits and the beautiful grounds.
