I stayed at the Inn at Washington Square June 5 and 6, 2005 and it was lovely. It was quiet, well kept and well appointed. I stayed in the Common Room (named because it overlooks Salem Common) and, although I believe it was the least expensive room, I think it was the nicest. There is a resident cat there and he and I bonded. As it happened, I was the only guest at the time and so had the run of the house and the cat and I hung out together in the evenings. Very pleasant and very relaxing. Breakfast, consisting of assorted pastries and juice, is brought to the room the evening before so you can have the morning to yourself and at your own pace. Although there is a small coffee pot in the room, the innkeeper also made a fresh pot for me downstairs in the dining area. She's a very pleasant lady and I enjoyed chatting with her.
The Inn is conveniently located, just down the street from the Witch Museum. I hope to stay there again sometime. Highly recommended.
