“Wonderful homemade ravioli”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 17, 2014

My husband and I dined here Saturday evening (2/15/14) and had a nice cozy table with bench seating that was more comfortable that we expected. It's a very small restaurant and only has between 10 and 15 tables. The warm bread and olive tapenade to start was really good... we ordered a 1/2 carafe of Chianti and sadly we were disappointed with it and sent it back in exchange for some Cabernet Sauvignon which was much better. We started with Lamb ravioli to share for an appetizer, they were in a cream sauce and so very good, not like any other ravs we've had.

I had a Chicken Arrunato (sp?) -chicken roll ups in a lemon wine sauce that was so very delicious. My husband ordered Veal Osso Bucco, he enjoyed it, but it was not the best he's had. He said it was good. His risotto was just slightly undercooked.

We had cannolli for dessert, they were good, but I think they may have been made up for a few hours.

Our waiter was friendly and attentive. A very nice dinner out.

“Almost 5 stars”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 5, 2014 via mobile

Delightful meal with a great waiter in a family run restaurant with much better than average food. We had the gnocchi which was one of the evening specials and it came freshly prepared and hot. My wife had the roasted artichokes as an appetizer which did not disappoint. Other couples this night were happy with the mushrooms over polenta, the veal shanks, and the steak. The prices were reasonable and less than in Boston for the good quality. We will go back again.

“TRIFFIC ITALIAN”

A family restaurant with an extensive Italian cuisine menu. The food was delicious - hearty, full flavoured, quality ingredients. Lovely service. Go there, you won't be disappointed.

“Bella Cucina!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 10, 2013

This small family-owned restaurant located across from the Hawthorne Hotel is the best. A consistent kitchen with an array of daily specials that will blow your mind (how they do pull this off in a place this small?), together with a fine wine list, provides a wonderful dining experience. It's a must-go.

“Great meal”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 8, 2013

We had a great time tonight at Bella Verona. Since we were eating out on Sunday, the place wasn't crowded . We had a great meal. I ordered special three course dinner: eggplant appetizer; stuffed spinach ravioli, chocolate cream puff. My husband had mussels and pasta bolognese. He said that both were good. They don't have a kids menu but offered half order of pasta with sauce. We all enjoyed our food and ambience. The staff was very friendly and attentive. I would recommend this spot for anyone looking for a nice Italian meal.
