My husband and I have just returned from a one week stay at the Morning Glory and are already plotting a return.
The rooms are clean, lovely and relaxing. The view from the rooftop patio is a delight and the location is perfect. Bob and Marcel are amazing hosts who make you feel welcomed and at ease. In the end it felt more like a stay with friends.

“Completely charming”

We stayed here for two nights at the end of our holiday as we wished to see Boston without the expense of staying in the city. We contacted Bob to ask about the commute to Boston from the guest house and he advised a 3 minute walk to the Salem to Boston Ferry. Our room was the smallest in the B & B but this was not an issue as we were not in for long periods of time. Plus there are other seating areas inside and out. My husband and I have stayed in Salem before and really like the area, the stay in the B & B made it a lovely experience. You must try the blueberry beer in the Micro brewary and walk around the town as it feels very safe and there are some great bars, shops and restuarants.
Thanks to Bob for making us very welcome and we will be back again.

“Perfect from beginnning to end”

Warm, welcoming. This was our first visit to Salem, and this was the perfect place to stay. Everything was in easy walking distance and we felt right at home. The best thing was the flexibility for breakfast. While we've stayed and many B & B's before, this was the first one that gave us a range (8:30-10 AM) for breakfast. We hate being on a schedule while on vacation, and this suited us to a tee. Oh, and you MUST eat the cheese bread toasted in the morning. I don't think I ate anything else for breakfast the whole time (thanks for the recipe Bob)

  • Disliked — Bed was a tad hard for my, but my husband thought it was heaven. Zero sum game there I suppose

“Great hospitality at Morning Glory”

We contacted the Morning Glory at the last minute for one nights accomodation and found a wonderful host who looked after us extremely well. The house and our room were clean and we felt completely at home. There was a communal room with internet access and a great breakfast was included, where we sat at a large table with other guests, who gave us some excellent tips on where to visit..

We would not hesitate to visit this hotel again.

“We had a lovely stay!!”

We only stayed one night as we had quite a few stops to make on our vacation. We had the suite upstairs, and it was absolutely lovely, complete with sitting room and deck outside. It's within walking distance of downtown (please see Peabody Museum while you're there). Our hosts, Bob and Marcel made us feel very welcome, and we had a terrific breakfast waiting on us in the morning! My husband and I highly recommend this gorgeous B&B; we will definitely be back!
