“A tasteful and somber memorial”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 25, 2013

Unlike most of the other witchy sites in Salem, this is a very somber and eloquent memorial to the tragedy of 1692. It is free. You cannot go after dark.

“Weekdays are better for a quiet visit”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 25, 2013

I spent a day in Salem after taking the train from Boston. We easily found the memorial (we relied on trollies for all our transportation around town). We went to Salem on a week day, so it wasn't crowded with tourists. Memorial consists of 20 granite benches surrounding an area adjoining the Old Burying Point. The benches are inscribed with the name of the accused and the means and date of execution. Worth a trip for the history buff or anyone who wants to learn more about Salem's history.

“great thing to see”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 12, 2013

It was crazy busy, but worth seeing. I'm glad people were not sitting on the memorial like they were last year.

“True to form”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 11, 2013

Visiting as a young child and then as an adult, it still absolutely fascinates me. The houses and extensive historical fact and artifacts is so perplexing. I love learning inks hands on and would recommend this to all families.
