You sit on a bench in the dark, and different scenes are lit up while a tape recording tells the story of the salem witch trials. Althought this isn't the worst place I've visited in Salem, its really kind of overhyped. It looks really awesome from the outside, at nite, all lit up and red, very gothic. If youre a first time visitor to salem you wouldn't know any better that this is not very time worthy, especially because of how good it looks from the outside.

The Salem Witch Mueseum is supposed to be one of the main attractions in salem but it is deff not , I stayed in salem for 3 days October 9-11th 2004 and the muesum was terrible, from the outside it looks great especially at night it is lit up but when you get inside you basically stand in the middle of a dark room and the lights shine on what i would describe as meuseum displays of people while a recording goes off and gives you info about the scene that is lit up it is sooooo boring and so not worth the money ... MY ADVICE stand outside of the place and take a picture dont bother waiting online and going on

For the person that they have been back time and time again to the Witch's Museum, 'WHY" would be my question. It was a tourist trap and a total waste of time and money! It was totally stupid and insults people's intelligence. I paid $30 for a family of five and the so called "presentation" lasted maybe 15 minutes. Spend your money elsewhere.

If your concept of a Museum is a dark room of dusty cases, crammed with faded artifacts, The Salem Witch Museum is not for you.

If you crave animated boogey-men springing at you and skeletons on strings doing a jig, stay away. There are other attractions in Salem that seek only to entertain the haunted house crowd.

Intead, the Salem Witch Museum showcases a dramatic audio-visual presentation of the most horrific miscarriage of justice ever perpetrated in this country.

Painstakingly researched, and historically accurate, the museum has done an outstanding job of distilling a complex historic episode into a brief show that still retains the drama and horror of the time.

I have been here several times, and have never been disappointed !
