“Don't miss this one!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 5, 2013

What a wonderful little local restaurant! The quality of their food and service is top-notch and it's really inexpensive. We were visiting the Tucson area and glad we stopped by to enjoy this little place. This is a hole-in-the-wall gem that serves up delicious New Mexican food dishes. We tried the chile rellenos and green chile chicken enchiladas...both out of this world good! The spice level was just right and all the flavors came together like a fiesta in your mouth! The service was also very attentive and the guacamole and salsa was fresh. Our only regret was that we didn't get a chance to go back while we were there. Our next visit to Tucson will definitely include eating here. This is a unique restaurant that you must visit!

“Descent Mexican Food”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 2, 2013

Hole in the wall place which we prefer over chain restaurants. All wait staff was very friendly. Food was OK. Chips tasted a little burnt. Chile cheese fries were delicious. Our entrees were ok, nothing to rave about.

“Like going to a buddies house for breakfast!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 27, 2012 via mobile

Tiny little restaurant- smelled terrific when we walked in, and the lady who waited on us was unbelievably nice - actually picked our breakfast for us- which was about three different entrees - from spicy to mild and green and red chile sauce- ALL was wonderful. And she started us with some sort of spicy pork stew and a lovely tortilla soup. The kids got basic kid burritos- the refried beans are well seasoned and smooth- which the kids really like. All in all a great experience- nice place! Definitely recommend highly!!

“Great New Mexican food, even better service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 23, 2012 via mobile

My husband and I had only had New Mexican food in Santa Fe so we were excited to try this place out right around the corner from our house. This is a small, casual establishment where you better get there early or at an off-time if you want to be able to find a seat. The food was pretty good and comparable to what we've had in New Mexico, although my husband thought the red sauce might've lacked some texture. Nonetheless, this is a great place to go for New Mexican food in Tucson and a great small business to support as service was excellent!

“The best Mexican food in Tucson - in my opinion”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 11, 2012

We love spicy food and this is wonderful. It is small, crowded, not much on ambiance, and no alcohol is available but the food is great. It is New Mexican style, not the Sonoran you typically find in Arizona, so chiles are a big essential and most things are smothered in either the green (which is fresh and hot, sometimes very, very hot) or the red (which is dried and milder). So glad we finally found this place and we highly recommend it!
