“Great hotel, great staff, made our group feel like VIP's”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 15, 2013

Our youth softball teams and families traveled to Tuscon for a weekend tournament. I am the coach and ended up being the "travel agent" for 20 families :). Heather Smith made it very easy with recommendations and options that fit our group need. The hotel was like a mini resort, open setup, immaculately clean, and very comfortable. I saw parents relaxing and reading in the lobby and spending time with their kids. Very inviting environment. The staff was great. Helpful, friendly and sincerely interested in making our families comfortable.

But the best part was the little things they did to welcome the teams and adjust the breakfast times to accommodate our game schedules. Our group felt like they were traveling pro team :)

The rooms, beds, pool, gym, laundry facilities, everything was great and was big part in the success and enjoyment of the trip. We look forward to staying there again next time we are in town, whether for team or family travel

Room Tip: We stayed on the first floor. Like the easy access.

Coach,

Thank you for the great review, we love to host youth teams at the hotel, the energy they give off is contagious. We are all delighted breakfast met your needs; our culinary team takes great pride in going that extra step to not provide the typical hotel breakfast. Our rooms which feature two Queen Size beds are ideal for teams and I'll pass on your housekeeping compliments to our team. We are hopeful the kids enjoyed the lazy river and relaxed after the long day on the field. We would all be delighted for your and the team to return in the near future.
GOOD LUCK THIS SEASON!

This is the second time we have stayed at this airport hotel and both stays were great. The staff is amazing - very helpful and friendly! The location is very close to the airport, so the van ride was quick and easy (5 min?). I rated quiet room lower - not because of hearing hallway noise, but because when the a/c came on it was pretty loud (and the planes, of course, but I realize that's what you get at an airport hotel! ALWAYS travel with earplugs.). It's so relaxing by the pool and not many reasonably-priced hotels have lazy rivers (especially near the airport). This hotel is a real gem!

Thank you for your return business and acknowledging the staff, they love being recognized for providing helpful and friendly service. In our daily training we always remind the staff that it is “them” who make the difference and because of their efforts guests will return like you did. We will have the maintenance department look into the A/C noise as it should not omit such a loud noise on start up. I'm glad you enjoyed the lazy river; it is lots of fun and certainly sets us apart from the surrounding hotels at the airport. We all look forward to your continued business and thank you again for taking the time to acknowledge my staff.

The complete Staff were friendly, professional & consistant: ALL Front Desk efficient, Housekeeping accommodated our schedule, Breakfast servers/cooks presented fresh quality meals, maintenance responsive (minor elevator issue).Fine examples of Tucsonan "Old Pueblo" Pride! Good location near Airport/ inner city, U of A easily accessible.Room was clean, amenities made our stay very comfortable. only wished for a balcony to enjoy the springtime desert air. Will definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: East side has beautiful sunrise/west has sunset/use 3rd floor

We are delighted you enjoyed your stay, balconies would be great as I to love the spring desert air, as an alternative we have a great pool deck with lots of umbrellas and a lazy river pool to float around and relax after a long day, we also have a covered patio next to our restaurant so you can relax and enjoy the sunset all while having a evening cocktail. Please come see us again and we will be certain to reserve you a room on the third floor once again.

We made an emergency trip to Tucson to help a family member. The staff at the Hilton Garden Inn were amazing! We had several changes to our plans during our stay. The staff was extremely accommodating and worked with us to make our stay very positive. Without the positive and cheerful staff who supported us during an extremely challenging time in our life we would have had a much more difficult time.

When you pull into the hotel, just be careful. Someone with a brother at autobody shop designed the entryway. There is a curb that sticks out sort of unusually and it is very easy to run over. Otherwise the hotel is very nice. And they even have a happy hour at the bar! They have a local beer on tap that is a super (Tucson Blonde).

Rooms were clean and spacious. Service was friendly and very accommodating. Kids lived the pool with the lazy river and inner tubes. I would stay here again for business or vacation. Bar service was great. Food at the grill was very good as well.

Was very upset with pool hours. The hours stated for pool is 5 a.m. till 10 p.m.
Woke up at 8 to use the pool facilities and desk said the driver is in route to airport drop offs. It is now 11:43 a.m. and still no pool. Talk with desk and said it will not be till another two hours till it will open up due to manager taking people to the airport. Check out time is 12 p.m. And there is several guest waiting for the pool to be opened now. One of the reasons why we picked this hotel is because of the pool and it being spring break and that is all the children want to do is SWIM. And also the reviews the hotel received. What a disappointment. Seems like pool should have been open at 5 a.m. before airport shuttles took place.

Room Tip: Check out pool hours and times before you purchase....if you have children.

Thank you for your review and for bringing this issue to my attention. The pool opening late is unacceptable, our maintenance department who maintains the pool was continually pulled away from the weekly maintenance tasks that morning which delayed the opening, going forward we have moved this scheduled maintenance of the pool to the weekdays when pool usage is very low. We hope you will give us another try, the pool and lazy river is a great place to kick back and relax, please call me at 520.741.0505 and I'll be able to assist.
