“An OK hotel but in need of major updating”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 14, 2011 via mobile

The location of this hotel is excellent. Shopping and a huge number of restaurants within walking distance. Although t he hotel is not all that old, you can tell it has seen better days. The first thing you notice is the carpet. In the high traffic areas it is almost black with ground in dirt? This is most noticible when you go up to the upper floors. The walls seem to be paper thin. I could hear conversations up until 3am from the room next door, not to mention out in the hallway. The rooms themselves are not so bad. Furnished with basic hotel furniture, nothing fancy. My room DID have a nice flat screen TV with a good choice of channels. Bathroom very small with a fiberglass tub that creaked and groaned when you showered. Exhaust fan integrated with the light, so it was impossible to be in the bathroom without being subjected to the roar of the fan. This appears to be a favorite hotel for visitors from Sonora. The parking lot is not all that big and many parking spaces were used up by multiple trucks with trailers parked across the spaces. The breakfast was fairly basic. If it was not for the great location I would have to think about it before staying again. This could be a much better place if it were updated with bright new carpets and the drab, well worn look of the rest of the hotel given a face lift.

The internal of the hotel looks a bit dated especially the carpet and some amenities, like some of the other reviewers said. Free internet and continental breakfast, with microwave in the room which is handy. The room and bathroom was very clean though they may look dated. I was lucky to have top floor as I can hear the floorboard cracking when I walked.

Very popular with families with kids so can be noisy during weekend. Close proximity to Tucson Mall and several restaurants. Handy location.

Room Tip: Upper floors are quieter if you are single or couple. Families with kids can be noisy as they run ar...

Wonderful, spacious room with sitting area. The staff was friendly and helpful. We came down to take care of sick relatives; Comfort Inn Suites was an excellent choice. Not only were we close to family but we were close to the Tucson Mall and Mimi's Restaurant (French a la New Orleans), an excellent place to unwind at the end of the day. We didn't use the pool (too hot), and others have said the air conditioning was a little noisy, but we felt safe, well rested, and well cared for here. Thank you!

We got a great rate on Hotwire for this hotel for 3 nights. Truly, great value for the price we paid. Hotel room was better than the average with separated sitting area with a fridge, microwave & free Wi-Fi. The TV, wlthough old style had dozens of channels.

In the morning, breakfast was provided in a bright room off the lobby. Breakfast choices included cereals, hot dishes, Belgium waffles, yoghurts, fresh fruit, breads and pastries. All for a better price than the nearest Motel 6!

Another bonus was the swimming pool and hot tub at the rear of the property. Although, at 105 degrees in June, a hot tub, you don't need!

Location a bit funny, being surrounded by automobile sale yards. But, just down the road was a huge shopping centre and various restaurants. All in all, we were happy with this choice.

Not so nice. The room was small, the carpet dirty, the elevator scared me, the shower sounded like I was going to fall through and the pillows were the smallest I have ever found . For the price I expected more.

If you stay at this hotel don't get a room near the pool as it is open until 11Pm and the noise doesn't start until 9 Pm. There were 13 or more kids in the pool and 20 or more adults around the pool area.I don't think most of these adults and kids were staying at the hotel. Impossible to sleep due to the noise. The hotel is very clean and we will be back in a different room far away with the pool.
