Well, you can't get much closer to the University of Arizona than this hotel. Unless, of course, you're in one of the dorms.
This is an older hotel, and it's similar to the Marriott in Fresno and Desert Springs in its design. It's rooms are all on the perimeter and has a large courtyard in the middle, so if you look up, you can see everyone walking in the halls. There are lots of plants and a huge skylight making it a very light and bright hotel. The only downside, and the reason that I gave it 4 stars instead of 5, is the noise in the hotel funnels up and you can hear it in your room. The restaurant was great, and the price for breakfast was not very expensive, like most hotels.
Nuts and bolts: The rooms were nice, clean, tastefully decorated, and very comfortable. The bed, it's bedding and pillows were all comfortable, and didn't have that 'too firm hotel' feel.
We stayed two nights, and would stay there again. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the area or the university.
