“Good Value and comfortable”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 25, 2012 via mobile

Well positioned and great big room and bathroom , if you chose the new wing. Also don't expect a view since the rooms face either the car park or a walk way. It's a bit of a put off when you walk in, but get over it for a night or two .
We ordered bar food at the restaurant for the kids which was convenient and good enough. I would stay again

“Excellent Central Tucson Hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 24, 2012

I lived in Tucson for years and drove by this hotel hundreds of times. When I visited Tucson recently, I stayed here for 3 nights. Glad I found it online at a very good price. Front desk is awesome (thanks Chase) and the rooms are nice, large and comfortable. I stayed in the "Deluxe King" room which is apparently a make-over of the "traditional" king room. No traditional drawings on the wall but a streamlined version of the original rooms. The room is large, the bathroom huge (with a tub AND a shower) and a really comfy bed. Even though my room was in the front, it was very quiet at night. The grounds are well kempt and a pleasure to the eyes. Nice pool (too cold to swim) with water falling into the pool from two spouts...makes a really soothing sound. Medium fridge is a nice addition for keeping drinks and snacks cold. The tiled bathroom can be a bit slick, especially when stepping out of the shower since the bath mat can't be placed in front of the shower door (not enough clearance between the door and the floor). Overall, this was a great stay over the Thanksgiving holiday.

“A touch of Adobe in Tucson”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 22, 2012

It was our first time of staying there and we really enjoyed it. The rooms were large and very nicely decorated and we were in a very quiet room. I'm glad we have found a place that is convenient for shopping and near some good restaurants. It was so much better than staying where there is lots of traffic and noise all the time plus the atmosphere was very relaxing.

“Nice choice in Tucson”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 14, 2012

We stayed here in October for the Tennis Championships. Most everyone was staying at the DoubleTree but we wanted a more authentic Tucson experience with charm (and quiet) Thats exactly what we got! This hotel is nicely maintained throughout, the rooms were well appointed, comfortable & clean. It has alot of charm & the pool area is relaxing. It's located in a good neighborhood & not far from shopping, activities, etc. We had breakfast & 1 dinner at the hotel restaurant.. the food was very good. Service throughout the hotel was also very good! If we visit Tucson again we would definitely stay here.

“A Little Slice of Old Tucson”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 7, 2012

Adobe's are my favorite form of building material, and The Lodge on the Desert represents the very best of that character vintage. Beautifully maintained, wonderful HUGE pillows on the beds. Get a room with a fireplace if you're into sipping wine in a comfortable chair, and reading ... or whatever. The restaurant has wonderfully prepared breakfast's & dinners and ALL the staff I came into contact with were smiling. Not too often that happens these days. You'll also enjoy meandering the pathways after a tough day of meetings.

Room Tip: Rooms on the East side are quiter.
