Last year we stayed at the Ritz at Dove Mountain and it just didn't work for us. So we thought we would try something else. We settled on the Omni since golf is important to us.
I would categorize our stay as very good. The recently renovated room was comfortable, quiet and large. Everything worked. Breakfast was excellent, fresh, hot and served in a timely fashion by smiling pleasant staff. I've written separately about Bob's Steak House. Suffice to say here we ate there twice and thoroughly enjoyed both dinners. There are two golf courses both fun to play and both in good condition.
Our biggest positive is our impression of the staff. Everybody, from the front desk, to the breakfast room to the golf staff to the grill room and Bob's was friendly and made our stay more enjoyable. A minor billing mistake was resolved quickly with copious unnecessary apologies.
There are a few maintenance issues that need to be spiffed up a little to keep the grounds picked up and the rooms serviced a little earlier. And I guess there are still some dated rooms on the property not as nice as ours was. So make sure you ask for a newly renovated one. But we truly felt we received good value for our expense and that we will return to stay and play golf again and partake of those great salads and steaks at Bob's
