“Thank you Alisha Nichols”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 21, 2013

I wanted to offer my thanks to Alisha Nichols. She is the embodiment of professionalism in the service industry. She made me feel like I was the only person in the restaurant. She is soft-spoken and focused but never overbearing. Those in the service profession would do well to model her poise.

I am a military spouse who took a friend on a "staycation" to this resort. I took a friend whose husband is depolyed to Afghanistan for a weekend of relaxing and away from the normal routine. From the moment I called Ventana Canyon and told them what I was wanting to do they bent over backwards to make it a truly spectacular weekend. The staff is very helpful and friendly, the rooms are spacious and have great views of the city skyline, golf course or mountains. We were treated to a fruit, cheese and cracker tray along with a bottle of wine. Compliments of the resort. We both took advantage of the spa and had massages and the enviroment was wonderful and relaxing. I would highly reccomend this resort and plan on returning again. We left feeling rejuvinated and our buckets of patience refilled. Thank you!!

The great thing about this hotel is the location. It sits on the bench of the mountains, so you get excellent views of the city. The rooms are nice, but the thing I don't like is the bathtub. The walls are really high, meaning if you had a groin injury, you are not taking a shower here. Also for an upscale resort, why do they have only full beds instead of queens? Westin has Queens, and a separate shower.

Room Tip: Get a room on the back side towards the mountains.

This is a delightful resort. We just stayed there Sept5-8 with another couple for some golf and relaxation.
The staff is friendly and professional, without being overly formal/snooty or too casual.
The property is well kept.We were very happy with our "luxury king"room.Pool area very nice.Lounge is comfortable.Good bar food, wines, all priced reasonably.
Flying V restaurant was a complete surprise. Why did we wait til our last night to check it out?Great menu without being too eclectic.Good size servings at fair price.Same with wine list.Quite complete, well priced.
We love golfing at Ventana Canyon.Beautiful course.Great value as well. The fairways are mostly wide and not too intimidating, but bring your short game. Some serious bunkering, and undulating greens.
All-in-all a great "shoulder season" value.

Room Tip: city view is great

Wonderful 5 days of relaxation. Low season prices are a terrific value - especially if you plan your activities to be in the morning and evening with afternoons reserved for pool time and relaxation. My wife enjoyed the spa and we especially enjoyed visits to the Sonora Desert Museum and Pima Air and Space Museum. All the restaurants are excellent and service can't be beat.

Room Tip: We like the rooms facing the mountains and waterfall. Nice view with morning coffee on the patio.

This was our first trip to Arizona and with our stay at the Loews Ventana Canyon Resort it will not be our last. Our resort stay was first class from the time of arrival with the valet service to our check out. Our room accomodations were excellent, the view of the mountains and pool very relaxing. The food was first class and we were sooo sorry we missed the award winning Sunday brunch. The BBQ and fixings, seafood bar, dessert bar and live band out by the pool were amazing. Needless to say, this will not be our last trip to Loews Ventana Canyon Resort.

If you are golfer, you can't miss the Ventana Canyon golf course. Canyon Course and Mountain course are so different and so great. As the hotel is luxury, you will enjoy your stay. Grab your clubs and you are ready for a wonderfull week of golf.

Room Tip: mountain view
