I try to stay here whenever I am in Tucson. It's convenient to most of my business, the drive to the resort if scenic and once you arrive you can forget the day's worries. That's why I love it. Consider becoming a Loews Member...the perks from this location make it so worthwhile. A great spa, great restaurants, and the best staff yet. I'm spoiled since they know me by name, but it had been 90 days since my last visit over July 4th. Wintertime I can't stay but the summer rates are perfect.

This is a wonderful hotel - extremely comfortable, great rooms, great landscape, etc. However they have some very strange pricing policies for such an upscale property. Charging for WiFi - most upscale hotels no longer charge; Parking overnight charges - huge hotel for parking, why do this? $100/day deductable for incidentals which they will credit back, but can't guarantee when. Seriously? Why not charge if you use? Just strange for such a beautiful upscale property to nickel and dime. Most resorts of this type no longer do this. Shame because the resort is REALLY wonderful, just irritating pricing policies. I took my parents here for a relaxing weekend and they loved it - would have given it 5 stars if it hadn't been for the nickel and diming.

This was our third stay at Ventana Canyon. We were upgraded to a suite because they were sold out...what a beautiful room! Great bar area, awesome bed and pillows. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The resort is so gorgeous, very well cared for...we love it there and will certainly go back again and again!

My husband had a conference here over the holiday weekend so Bisbee, our golden retriever and I got to come for a night's stay. "Loews Loves Pets" is absolutely true! Bisbee got his own placemat, bowls, doggie treats and pickup bags. There's even dog and kitty food (pricey) on the Room Service menu!
Ken and I loved walking the along the golf course on the Par Course path with Bisbee and taking the little trail to a waterfall behind the hotel. The resort is very respectful of the desert environment and we appreciated the naturalness of the landscaping -- living here we understand the beauty of so many varieties of cactus.
The room was wonderful. Our own patio, a double size bathtub, and super comfy robes. Every staff person we met was friendly and helpful. I didn't get to try out the spa, but I could see coming back during the summer for a " staycation" in my wonderful home town.
