“Very nice, western look, nice pool & atrium.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 24, 2009

Close to most Tucson attractions. We went to the zoo, the Air & Space Museum, and the Titan Missile Museum, all very close by. Also, there was shopping nearby and a little western town with a steakhouse, a shootout, and lots of other things for the kids including a train. We also drove over to Tombstone, which wasn't too far. There were two or three casinos, nearby, too but we did not make it to those.

The Embassy Suites staff was very attentive and the entire atmosphere was wonderful. Even though I was away from home on a business trip, it felt very welcoming and comfortable to stay here. The evening receptions were always pleasant with some great snacks available and the pool and hot tub area were very inviting. The rooms were comfortable and spacious with great airconditioning.

I checked into this hotel with some colleagues for a conference - the rooms were the usual size of an Embassy Suites hotel, but the furniture was older and looked frayed and dirty. I didn't dare walk around on the carpet after looking at some of the other reviews! I agree with another traveler about the gates and access points - it took me forever to lug all my stuff from the oddly-designed parking lot up to my room.

The breakfast area/manager's reception area is outdoors, but they were running the A/C for the evening happy hour - which is a good thing for the middle of July in Arizona! The breakfast was pretty good, with a wide selection of food items and the usual omelets and pancakes and all. I am just used to the atrium area which is usual for newer Embassies...maybe I'm spoiled but I like my interior corridors and still get weirded out by doors that open out onto exterior walkways.

If I had to do it again, I'd probably stay at the other Embassy in the area and skip this location. The staff was nice, but the rooms with the small bathtub/toilet area (and lack of a lot of TV channels - forgot to mention that!) don't cut it! My TV was also acting up in the main room, skipping channels and all. Weird experience overall.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Embassy Suites. I went with my girlfriend and two friends and the hotel met our every need. The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. I would certainly stay there again.

Our stay at this Embassy Suites went very well. The front desk personnel were very nice and helpful. This is an older establishment, but very well taken care of. Our room was a typical Embassy Suites room, with the exception of the bathroom. The toilet was in a VERY small room, along with the shower. It was very clean, the bed was really comfortable and since our room was away from the courtyard, it was very quiet.

The courtyard is beautiful, surrounded by palm trees and lots of other flowers and greenery. It really was beautiful. There was a nice pool and hot tub. The evening cocktail hour and snacks are served in the same location as the morning brunch, which is a building by the pool that has inside seating as well as several tables outdoors. The brunch was delicious and selection extensive. If they didn't have it, you didn't need it.

There is a big mall about half a mile East of the hotel and several good restaurants within walking distance as well as a Target. I would recommend this to anyone who would like a little oasis.

When we checked into this hotel, we noticed that the furniture was very run down (frayed fabric on the sofa for example), but the rooms were large and seemed clean enough. After letting the kids run around in socks on the carpet for 30 minutes, their socks were literally black with dirt. A second room, reserved by my parents, was in similar condition. This hotel is in need of a good deep cleaning and renovation

Nice staff but the property is tired. Public areas are nicely maintained but the rooms are tired. Carpet in need of replacement. Large rooms but baths small. Rooms need a deep cleaning.
