My husband and I spent one night on Nov 8, 2012. We were in room 901 in the tower. From the moment we walked in the hotel lobby the hotel staff greeted us and offered to assist us. We arrived early being my husband is at the VA center for the blind for 5 weeks and it is too far to travel home so we will be staying at the Doubletree for the week-ends. The front desk was kind enough to let us check in early as our room was ready. The room was very clean. The bed was so comfortable. The A/C was very cold and couldn't be shut off. Someone was there with in 5 minutes to fix it.

The pool area was lovely to sit at and spend sometime. The grounds are beautiful and well maintained. We walked to the tennis courts and sat on the bench there. It is close to Reid Park so this week end we with visit the zoo there.

We had dinner at the Cactus Rose. We both had the prime rib dinner that was excellent. It was served with the soup and salad bar. Soup was your choice of corn chowder or spicy ham and potato. The salad bar had so much to choice from including real bacon bits, blue cheese, olives ,asparagus and so much more. Our waiter Benjamin was so charming and made our dinner pleasant.

Breakfast was the buffet. So much to chose from. Fresh fruit apples, pears, banana's, oranges, fresh orange slices, cantaloupe, honey dew, watermelon,dried fruit. The home baked muffins were to die for. Not so much the croissants, or danish I think they were packaged. You have a choice of scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, potatoes, french toast, orange juice. toast, bagels.
There is no reason to leave the hotel to eat out.

We were grateful for a late check out so we could spend some time together before my husband had to go back to the VA hospital and are looking forward the this coming Saturday. Thank you Doubletree.

FinnFest, the annual Finnish Festival was held at this hotel in Tucson. A great location with many useful and comfortable spaces for meetings, demonstrations, concerts, entertainment, audio and visual presentations and vendor areas. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed ourselves as the hotel had everything we needed without leaving the hotel.

Located a few miles from the downtown, the Reid Park area of Tuscon was very pleasant and a first time visit for me. We were greeted upon check in with warm chocolate chip cookies. The rooms were top rate with the most comfortable beds we have ever experienced in hotels. Plenty of soft pillows a big plus for me. Updated utilities and amenities.

Hotel staff very helpful and friendly. Very nice work out gym and pool and great food in the restaurants. Loved the Double Tree and stayed at another one in Del Mar the next weekend. They were exactly the same in every way. The pillows and comfy bed being the most important.

This has to be one of the most awful places I have ever stayed. It stated off well with helpful check in staff but then the epic walk to room up stairs (no lifts). The room was dated but biggest issue was it stank of urine. It was so late by then that we decided not to move having lugged cases up 3 flights of stairs. The Tv did not work and the hot water was tepid. The only positive was a lovely lady at breakfast - cafette who took a lot of time to be friendly and gave us great tips on Tucson. Thst was good as there was no food at the buffet- no eggs no bacon just a rock hard bagel -! Apart from breakfast a ghastly experience.

This is a great resort with many features. With a huge pool, waterslide, and many extras, this really turns Tucson in to a great place.
Customer service was outstanding.
They have a workout area with a spa. The spa does massages.
Highly recommend!
