“I should have read the reviews :(”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed November 16, 2012 via mobile

The hotel was cheap and close to my project site so i took a room. They offered free wifi, but the wifi does not work. They have basic cable, but no remote. They have an ice machine, but it is broken too. What's that smell in the room? It wont go away. Nonetheless, the room is conviently located in the Tucson airport flight path and close the a very active and loud railroad. The lady at the front desk is very nice and charming as she explains that the services such as wifi... are not available. I really wish I had read the reviews before checking in.

The hotel is now under new management and they are making great strides to improve from the last owner. The staff is great the owners are friendly and the rooms are getting better. I've been told that before the rooms where terrible but I found them decent. The Executive Inn has some work to do, but they are definitely on the right track. I've seen much worse.

Stayed there 2012 gem show. Reviews for the place were never updated. Super dirty. The room was a wreck. The hotel lobby bathrooms were dirty. Slept in the bed with all of our cloths on. Nobody vacuumed the hallways or the rooms. No repairs done to this place since the fire two years ago. All of the furniture was second hand used stained and nasty. Unfortunately we couldn't get another hotel room anywhere in town. This place should be condemed. And why is this still listed as a 2 1/2 star hotel????? I have pictures of this place and I did get a one night refund from the hotel travel company. Still not enough.

Completely filthy hotel. They had a fire in October 2011, and the repair is still unfinished. Don't waste your time and money in this dive! Personally, I think the owner stashed the insurance money for the fire repair. Also.. I feel sad for the Tucson Gem and Mineral show Vendor stuck at this location, he was duped!

Not even a 1/2 star property. It is dirty (our room hadn't been vacuumed), food was left in the refrigerator, the breakfast is inadequate, the pool hasn't been cleaned in who knows how long, the Jacuzzi wasn't heated and the jets didn't work. I could go on, but you get the idea.

Dear Guest
Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback regarding our
hotel. I am certainly disappointed that your stay was not all that it could
have been.
I would like to apologize on behalf of the hotel and its team for your stay.
Our standard procedure in this event would be to offer another room to accommodate you for your inconvenience. Our staff members are advised on procedures when it comes to your comments or issues in your room, however without the guests informing the desk of unsatisfactory accommodations we cannot know something is wrong.
You may also be interested to learn that just this week we have started
a refurbishment of our guest rooms and restaurant. I would take pleasure in welcoming you back after our refurbishment is completed in 2012 so that you could experience the hotel as it was meant to be. I was completely surprised by the hotel, it was not even close to what it seemed to be online or in the mixed reviews.
1) the area it is in is very run down, safety is a question at night..
2) the hotel is "under construction", I think an excuse for the open ceiling panels, hanging wires, caution taped stairways to upstairs.... no ice machine, etc etc the list goes on.
3) the 'breakfast' looked as if it had been sitting out for a few weeks as a layer of dust/dirt covered everything.
4) a security guard roams the parking lot, a good sign your car will be safe, but what if he wasn't there?
5) we slept in our clothes for fear of what was on/under the covers...
6) our room did not have a room number
Overall the place is very rundown, note it is two separate buildings, one in front, one out back. It honestly could be used for a scary movie... empty dark, the taped off stairs that lead to the dark upstairs hallway just topped it off for us.
You'd be better off staying at the flamingo, econolodge nearby. Motel six would be 50 times better.
