“A Wonderful weekend!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 3, 2013

My Husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Suncatcher Inn. Janos was an excellent host; very informative, friendly and entertaining! We felt very welcomed into his beautifully decorated home. So many goreous pieces of furniture from around the world. A delicious gourmet breakfast was served and picture perfect in presentation. We enjoyed the secluded surroundings and the "singing pug". I would highly recommend this get away.

Room Tip: We had a large room with table, comfortable chair and ottoman and a Wonderful 'soaking' tub...

For the 1st time, and to celebrate my daughter's 15 birthday, we decided to visit Arizona and to stay at The Sunchatcher Bed and Breakfast Fine Country Inn !! We felt very welcomed by the owners.
This bed and breakfast is located in a very nice private place surrounded by nature!! You can see the beautiful mountains, and they are breathtaking!!!! Clean air!!!
For the first time, we heard the sounds of coyotes at night and that alone was AMAZING!!!
Not to mention the best breakfast we had in our lives...very healthy, plenty of it and made with love by Janos Siess who is also very friendly!!! I recommend this Inn to everyone who wants a connection with nature and a relax time...
Thank you

My husband and I just returned from a fabulous stay at the Suncatcher Bed and Breakfast. As many others have recounted, the house is absolutely gorgeous. Jonos made us feel incredibly welcome and prepared gourmet breakfasts every day. The property itself is absolutely beautiful, making you feel miles away from civilization even though it is only 15 minutes from downtown Tucson. All in all it was a five-star experience.

Room Tip: We chose the Cowboy room as it is the most private and gives one an indoor/outdoor feeling.

My adult daughter and I wanted to have a weekend in the desert...some hiking...but also some city time. What a perfect solution! Jonos welcomed us and knows just how to provide the right amount of attention. He was great in preparing a breakfast that my daughter (who has several food intolerances) could eat with lots of fresh, whole foods. Jonos' love of life and what he is doing spills over into the welcoming spirit of the hospitable home and grounds. We enjoyed a walk in Saguaro National Park and desert sunset on our arrival (a trailhead is within walking distance). After hiking/running in the area we relaxed at Suncatcher before taking a drive to downtown (about 25 minutes) and exploring a new restaurant. We came back with a bottle of wine, grabbed some chocolates and hopped in the hot tub to check out an AZ view of the stars...priceless!!!

Room Tip: There are two small dogs...they are quite fun, but if you are not a dog person, you should know they...

Sun Catcher is truly a gem. All the reviews speak to the fabulous host Jonos, his gorgeous house excellently designed and could easily be featured in Architectural Design magazine.
And the breakfast is not the usual pancakes and pastries. Jonos is a chef and prepares a
gourmet feast along with fresh fruit. First day we had a veggie quiche with goat cheese.
Next day an omelet with home made turkey sausage.
The attention to details and his guest was warm and welcoming and not overbearing. We would definitely go back.
The location is fabulous near the Saguoro National Park for hiking and riding. Sense of serenity and privacy .... could go on and on.

Room Tip: All the rooms surround the terrace, pool and hot tub. We were in the one on the end and the bathroo...

We spend two wonderful nights in this wonderful place. To call it Bed & Breakfast doesn't give it proper credit, it is so much more than it. From the very beginning we were welcomed by Jonas like friends. His house is amazing: beautiful architecture filled with amazing artwork and books about everything you ever wanted to read. His breakfast is also a work of art! It was extremely delicious and nutritious (perfect if one is about to take a hike in the very nearby National Park; actually some of the trails start one minute away from the house). The room we stayed in was spacious with many fine features (fireplace) as was the bathroom. The other guests we meet during our stay were also very interesting so we ended up every evening with long and good talks. All in all: Perfect!

My wife and I found this B&B near Saguaro National Park run by a truly warm, informal and charming Hungarian gentleman, Janos. It is the perfect base for hiking or horse riding in Saguaro National Park, which is in walking distance. (However, for ambitious hikers who favor great views in addition to the Saguaros, I would not suggest the local trails but rather an out-and-back hike on the long trail on the ridge, a short drive away.) The house is fabulous, with a huge great room, beautiful views of the ever changing mountains. The atmosphere seems to be ideally conducive to evening conversations with other guests: we met an extremely interesting German couple there. An amazing breakfast, but plan to skip lunch! Perhaps the very best B&B we have stayed in, and we've stayed in them a lot.

Room Tip: Room near the pool is the best, we think, but has a smaller bathroom than the others.
