“A nice drive”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 26, 2012

This is a beautiful canyon, minutes from Tubac and Nogales. Worth the time to drive through, stretch your legs and take in the serenity that the quiet streams offer. A very pretty area, take a picnic lunch and enjoy the quiet.

“A great getaway from the summer heat!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 16, 2012

Beautiful scenery, lots of trees, running streams... worth the drive to escape the heat. Watch out for the chickens as you drive up!

“MAJESTIC--EASY ACCESS LOCAL BEAUTY!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 12, 2012

I ride my Harley up Madera Canyon every couple of months--then go on short hikes. Such a phenomenal view--so close to town, but really allows you to get away from it all.

“For the birds...”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 9, 2012

If you're into a good hike, bird watching (world famous) or a hell of a bike ride, you'll dig it. There are a handful of B&B's, a small lodge and unless I'm missing something, that's about it. It's a great spot and we absolutely love it. Check out the website before to get a jump on what trail(s) you want to tackle. There are a few different parking and picnic areas to choose from but it's all very easy to navigate. Watch for bikes and bears! Enjoy.
