This trail was a blast, but we were on a tight time frame so we only went to the saddle (Linda Vista?) about 3 miles and 2 hours up the trail. It was a little strenuous, particularly since I live in the Midwest at roughly sea level.
I highly recommend that hikers be well prepared, e.g. water, shoes, wicking clothes, Hiking Boots/Shoes. Boots are very important as there are large sections over granite that can be very slippery, even dangerous as some of the sections are near significant drop offs. Don't be too proud to use your scrambling techniques if there is ice, water or dirt on the granite.
In summary, I want to do the hike again when I have more time and go all the way to the top.
