“Would not recommend”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed August 6, 2014

Went for the first time and would never go again. The service was awful. No one checked on us and our water glasses stayed emptied. We had to go to the register to get our check. I complained while I was there that no one serviced our table and was yelled at by the waitress! "You were talking to each other, I didn't want to bother you!" Really? We were late getting back to work and the place wasn't even busy! The pita bread was stale and the meat bland. Just an awful experience. Never again. Would not recommend.

“The food would be good, if it were served hot....”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed April 25, 2014

We went to this restaurant recently during a concert in the little center where it's located. The outdoors seating was pretty full -- maybe 10 tables. The two waitresses -- one working and one sort of messing things up -- resulted in long waits, misunderstood offerings and cold food. This is not the first time I've been to this restaurant. It's also not the first time the service has been slow without any real obvious reason.
Usually, when things go so wrong, something is comped. We paid full price for everything.
Will we be back? I won't.

“Way too salty.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 17, 2013 via mobile

I have eaten at this place before, but never reviewed it until now. I visted Sinbad's for lunch with two other people and we all agreed that are chicken shawarma pita sandwiches were terribly salty. Not sure what they were hiding with the salt. I asked my two lunch companions if their chicken tasted fishy as my lunch had an odd fishy flavor. Our appetizer platter was not much better. The dolmathes were served cold and so lemony they were tart and made your mouth pucker. Service poor as we had to request soda refills. Not worth visiting.

“Great location and patio, mediocre food and service”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed May 7, 2013

We always want to like this restaurant; but the service and food are mediocre at best. Lunch is often 1.5 hours.

“Good middle eastern favorites”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 5, 2013

This restaurant is located in a great area not far from the University. They have nice outdoor seating in a courtyard setting. The food is very good, we had the middle eastern staples of hummus, babaganooj, and kebobs. Their desserts are also quite good. It's a family owned restaurant where dad cooks, mom and kids wait tables. They are very nice and friendly people. Definitely recommend. They also offer hookahs if you're so inclined to smoke one.
