Love this place I go every year for ten days!! Overlooking the city at night it lights up gems , all colors. The hotel is so pretty, spa ,pool areas really is great! In the evening they have a Indian time and drinks are free well some are!! Then you set outside by the fire pits . You just have to go to soak it all in

We attended a concert at Casino Del Sol and decided not to stay at the venue. I did some reaseach and found the Starr Pass Resort. Granted it is said i was only 9 miles from the Casino - the trip was worth it. I enjoy my privacy and the quietness of the Starr Pass. View from anywhere on the property are great! Staff was friendly from the moment we showed up. My check in process was prompt and welcoming. I was provided a map of the property at check in and showed exactly where my room was. The front desk clerk was very friendly and helpful, i didn't catch his name but me saw me in the lobby and asked how my room was and if I was satisfied. Bell service was great the fella that helped my sister and I would our bags and didn't let us help him. He was friendly and offered things for us to do and thing we may have an interest of seeing. All around great service - we will return again! Thank you for a fun sisters getaway!

Was here for a work event that had about 300 people for 3 days. Service, catering, etc. was excellent. No problems of any kind and staff was wonderful. Extended my stay by 2 days and thoroughly enjoyed resort as a tourist. The nightly tequila toast was fun and the nearby hiking was very enjoyable as well. Only downside is that location is a bit out of the way. Everything else about the resort was top shelf. I would definitely go back as a leisure traveler and would hold a meeting there as a business traveler. I recommend this property.

The Marriot is in a very nice and secluded valley on the west side of Tucson. East is generally better as far as access to town and sites, butif youre not concerned about the drive, the seclusion is pretty nice. Facilities are fairly good all around. Rooms are nicel decorated for the rate, and the restauarants are very decent. Service is excellent and the staff is helpful and knowledgeable. It is a large hotel so its a decent trek to get from the ends of a wing back to the lobby. Lounge area and the firepit terrace are fantastic at sundown and after dark for drinks and appetizers.

Room Tip: defintely the south side of the hotel for the views.

Green Features: They do a good job of being environmentally friendly, if you ignore the very nice golf course thats a part of the property...but its sited well, the planting is local and done well, and I assume they use reclaimed water for irrigation.

Start your day with a beautiful sunrise and consider participated in a local ritual,”Mitakuye Oyasin,” on the Salud Terrace at the JW Marriott. In this traditional Native American ceremony, guests wrap and burn sage prayer ties. Nice way to get in touch with nature and to center yourself before a hectic day.
The property has three restaurants to choose from. We had breakfast at the Signature Grill and enjoyed fireside cocktails at Salud.
The Salud lounge has over 100 varieties of Tequila to savor. Lots of activities to choose from including, golf, swimming, gym, and a spa. Enjoy sweeping views of the property and the beautiful mountains.
The staff was friendly and attentive.

Room Tip: make sure to try the complimentary happy hour shot of Tequila

A native to Tucson, JW Marriott Starr Pass is a great resort to bring the family or if you want to get away with your special someone! Signature Grill has a great breakfast buffet with green corn tamales and pozole ( mexican soup) omg! love it! Chef Daniel is now Tucson's Iron Chef for 2015! The lazy river and slide for the kids and adults is awesome! The service from front drive, housekeeping, poolside and staff are very friendly! They offer hiking, bike rides and not too far from downtown Tucson! I might add being a event planner and wedding designer, the JW Marriott is also is a great venue for your wedding or special events! The beds are comfortable and the views are amazing! Swim hard, stay hydrated and sleep well!!

Room Tip: If you have kiddos who want to hang by the pool, ask for room closest to pool area
