I was meeting a few high school buddies in Tucson to play golf and relive our youth. We stayed at the Marriott Starr Pass Resort because of the country club style golf course and convenient location to the airport (20 minutes) and downtown Tucson. We never left the resort! Service was top self from the minute we arrived at the valet, checked in at the front desk, visited their restaurants and played the golf course. Everyone went out of their way to make sure our stay was enjoyable. In the evening most guests gather on the large patio where there are 3 or 4 fire pits, excellent cocktail service and a beautiful view of downtown Tucson's evening lights. A must if you are celebrating something special!!!

Hi, Here to relax and play some golf. I'm platinum elite and have a room the size of a courtyard property and there is no one here. The military planes may be flying all night which is not my idea of a quiet get away. We checked in today and are leaving tomorrow first thing. Will not stay here again!!!

Hi, I wanted to express my gratitude and thanks to the staff at JW Marriott. They all worked so hard this past weekend to make Winter Wonderland so nice. We had a great time. I would like to thank Dan Padilla and his staff member David for being to attentive, helpful, friendly and welcoming.

I went to the JWMarriott with my family for my birthday weekend. We were all meeting there so we decided to eat the 1st night at Salud, the bar restaurant with the outdoor firepits. It was beautiful to sit there , enjoying the family and the view, etc. The food and drinks we ordered were very good, we were impressed, however this was the only really good food we had there. The breakfast the next morning was not good, the eggs were either over or undercooked, etc. The dinner we had that night at the Catalina restaurant , at the golf club was just ok also, plus we had asked for a heater by our table, since it was cold outside and we didn't get it, even though we asked a couple times during dinner. However the buffet we had the next morning, before we all left was very good, lots of choices to pick from. Soo, I could say the the food is very uneven, some good , some not. The shuttle, the hotel provided was great to go the the club. Our rooms were very nice, very convenient to get to from the lobby. A few of us had spa treatments , which were great, all the spa staff were very sweet and professional, etc. The pool was lots of fun for all of us. The general staff were very nice, i.e the front desk, the concierage, the maids, etc.
The location seems to be far from things also, so when planning a visit , that is something to consider.
