Stayed at this hotel on 3/6/15, on a visit to Tucson, Arizona. We arrived late, making our reservation via phone while driving. The night desk person was very engaging and accomodating, upgrading our room from one queen to two when a one queen room was not available. The paved parking in front of the hotel is good, but could come up a little short if the hotel is completely booked. There is parking around the back of the hotel, and I'm sure you can park in the adjacent dirt lot. The Lobby is spacious and neatly kept. Our room was on the 2nd floor and as we waited for the elevator we noticed a gym and laundry. The room looks brand new, with a little kitchenette (stove, refrig, sink and plates and silverware). There was one Easy chair in the room, a flat screen TV on the wall and I believe a DVD player (didn't use it). The bed was firm and comfortable and the pillows were nice. Everything looked clean and new in our room. The bathroom was spotless though no TP on the holder, but there was a roll in the bathroom cabinet so all was good. Plenty of hot water in the morning when taking a shower. I would gladly stay at this hotel again. Even though we had a minor disturbance at about 6:30 am when someone tried to enter our room, They tried the key several times and finally I went to find out what the problem was. Apparently there was a mixup with the rooms, and the lady apologized to me. I then went to check out in the AM and when the desk clerk asked about our stay, I told her what happened and she said she had heard about it and asked the hotel manager if they could compensate me. He agreed and they did compensate me. Thank you to the staff at the Candlewood Suites in Tucson.
