My husband and I stopped here for lunch today after hearing they have the best burgers in town, and we were not disappointed. We both ordered the Red Garter Hamburger but they have MANY burgers to choose from. My husband chose the shoe string French fries and I chose the cole slaw. The fries were just right, hot and crispy. The slaw has a tangy flavor which I prefer to the creamy style. Sarah was our server and was very helpful and friendly, and welcomed us as first time visitors. Next time we will order the onion rings as they looked delicious and are fixed the way we like them.
Almost all the sandwiches and burgers run about $7.95 and they have about 15 imported beers. We counted 9 t.v's around and yet the place was not noisy. It is dark and quiet inside, and we liked the atmoshpere.
The Red Garter has remodeled recently and there are pool tables in the back room. Granted, they have outside patio seating with misting in the summer, and heaters in the winter, and yes, the noise of Speedway is right around the corner, but inside is a different world. It is a friendly neighborhood bar and we plan to visit it more often. It's a great place to go with friends any time of day. They open at 11 a.m and close at midnight 7 days a week.
