“Good Food! Great Atmosphere!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 2, 2013

Whenever we try someplace new we get dishes that we can share so we can try several items. For our first visit we ordered the 10 Mini Dogs and a Brisket Sandwich and a basket of chips and salsa. The chips were fresh and crisp and the salsas were tasty. The mini dogs were topped with beans, tomatoes, and crema. They were awsome! You have got to try these little dogs wrapped in candied cayenne bacon! The Brisket sandwich was flavorful and had a good portion of meat and a side of tater tots. Service was good and they were very attentive.

The interior of this historic restaurant has been brightened up, the views are still wonderful. No javalinas to feed in the back yard as before when Mr. Calvert ran the orignal. The outside patio area is cosy and there's a stage for live music. I think we'll sit outside next time.

I use a disability scooter to get around and had no problem getting to a table.

We were so looking forward to Saguaro Corners opening up after it had closed many years ago, went there opening night for my B/D with the family What a disappointment, they had a very large private party on the patio, we waited for over ONE hour for our food. If I wanted a Taco stand I would have gone to one. They were ill prepared for such a large crowd let alone all the other people who wanted to be seated and try the new kid on the block. I wish them well BUT they need more then just small tacos to bring us back as alot of other people stated. It is a shame it could be a great place with a MUCH better menu. It is basically a glorified taco stand.

Hi Patricia, thank you for your input. Please understand Saguaro Corners is a work in process. I do want to address your two points. As for opening day we specfically wanted to open on a Monday so we could ramp up slowly as it is difficult to have everything in place in the first hour of operations. Needless to say we were overrun on Monday and there was a window where we were behind on orders. The good thing is we will just get better and better as staff becomes more accustomed to our standards and operations. As for the menu it is and will be constantly in flux. I will send you a personal message asking for feedback. Our initial play is tacos and tapas with sharable plates. Once we master that process (probably 30 days) we will expand to nightly specials more on the entre level. So please try us again as we morph into hopefully a very special place on the eastside. Thank you.
