We went there to celebrate our anniversary and we're thoroughly 100% dissatisfied. What an appalling excuse for a Mexican restaurant!!!
The place looks like it hasn't been cleaned since it opened (100 years ago?). The decor is so out of time and so very distasteful.
The food was the principal disappointment. There is very little doubt in my mind that most of it was frozen, defrosted and then slathered with tons of low grade yellow cheese. In the end it all tasted the same because it all melted together under the huge globs of cheese. This is not Mexican food! Real Mexican food has fine distinct flavor for each item that is eaten.
The prices are extreme considering the inedible food that is served. Our bill was over $80 and most of our food was left uneaten. The waitress was doing the best she could considering that she was the only one on duty.
This restaurant needs to be completely demolished and rebuilt. Their menu needs to totally revamped and yellow cheese needs to from all food items.
Restaurants like this give Mexican food and Tucson a disgusting feeling and reputation. One star, unless many can be given in negative quantities!
