“Excellent Indian food.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 23, 2013

A great place for Indian food. Their lunch buffet is very reasonably priced and the food is very good. Their Ala Carte is even better and if you are looking for a nice evening, this is the place to be.

“Pre cooked, decent”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 21, 2013 via mobile

We went here tonight, by googling Indian restaurant Tucson.
This and 1 other came up on our side of town.
The place is clean, beautiful murals on the walls (even in the loo)
Takki for me Curry for him.
My was Luke warm, at best, even tho it came on a sizzling platter.
Our naan bread was cool, as was our appetizer.
The place was packed with regulars, and a few newbies like us.
Nothing bad, nothing special.

When you go there, try Chicken Ticca Massala...delicious. Waiter and waitress are kind and friendly!

“Imagine that”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 21, 2013 via mobile

Nine years ago when we first came to the Tucson area, we were told by some to avoid this place as there were better Indian restaurants in Tucson. So we did. What a mistake! We went there for the first time the other day on a Groupon special and were very pleased. While the service is slow/relaxed, the food was very good and enjoyed by all. My lamb curry was HOT like I asked for as many Indian places don't spice it up all that much. I was surprised that everything seemed to be ala carte even the rice. In all we enjoyed the food on this day at this time. We will go again. Maybe next time the rice won't be ala carte.

“Consistently Good”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 9, 2013

This was our second visit to New Delhi Palace and it seems these people really know the Indian cuisine well. The place was quite packed for a Tuesday but after a slight wait our waitress seated us this time under what seemed like the mural of the Himalayan mountain range. We ordered the lamb vindaloo from the regular menu and this time they had just introduced a mango menu for the month, so we decided to try the chicken entree from there (forgot what it was called) Both the entrees were beautifully spiced, different to taste and complimented well with the Naan & rice. The spice level is not overpowering but at the same time leaving a good taste on your palate. What stole the show was the Mango Rabri, the dessert which we feel they should add to their regular menu.
The food did take a little longer to arrive but I still give them 5 stars considering they were really busy and it shows that they make everything fresh from scratch. Also our waitress kept following up on it. It's been consistently good so far.
